Loved it

They had a few different vegan options, including impossible meat and tofu. I do wish that the self order kiosks had allergen/dietary information, but the employee I asked confirmed vegan options.

Pros: Great taste, Large portions

Cons: No dietary information

Finally tried it

After all these years I finally tried Motomaki. Nothing is labeled vegan or vegetarian for that matter. You have choice of bowl or sushi wrap. I got the Green something with brown rice in a wrap. Brown rice was a bad choice for a wrap. It was wet and the seaweed wrap fell apart. I ended up eating it on my plate with a fork. It was tasty with spinach asparagus and edamame. I will build my own BOWL next time.

Pros: Lots a vegetables to chose from, Poke sauce is vegan

Cons: Nothing labeled, Brown rice in a wrap shouldn't be a thing

Subpar staff, good food

The person at the counter couldn't tell me what sauces were vegan and said "soy sauce is a safe option". I feel like places should be able to tell you the ingredients of their food. Thankfully, one of the cooks told me the yakiniku was vegan (and very good!!).

Someone else's review here mentions that all sauces are vegan except the aioli and jalapeño.

Despite the subpar service, the food was really good! My hubby got the impossible teriyaki and liked it, good amount of impossible! I got make your own bowl w/ tofu and a good amount of tofu.

Will be back to try more!

Pros: Good amount of tofu & impossible, Yummy, Fast

Cons: Cashier didn't know what was vegan and didn't make, much of an effort to find out, Can be pricey with a lot of toppings

Motomaki

While Motomaki tries to present themselves as accommodating to vegans, I can not help but admit that every time I have tried to eat here, I end up horribly sick. Whether this is due to a lack of knowledge of ingredients within the products, cross contamination, or some disgruntled employee who can't wrap their mind around veganism so they intentionally poison your food; you are sure to get sick. I would highly advise staying away from this place unless you are looking to feel like you swallowed a cup full of razor blades shortly after consumption.

Very generous portions!

I ordered a Mean Green bowl with added tofu and tempeh asparagus, my partner had the Crispy Eggplant bowl. Both were outstanding!

The portions were so large that we have a whole extra meal each to bring home.

Their ordering kiosks had a whole section dedicated to alerting the kitchen of many allergens.

Pros: Very customizable, Allergen friendly, Friendly atmosphere

Can get a great dish here

It was 17 bucks for a bowl because there is a premium for impossible but I think it is worth a try. The bowl was filling, the food was made fast and it had quality ingredients. I'm a big fan of their touchscreen ordering to keep lines short. It disappointing there is no allergen information anywhere but staff assured me that every sauce but the aioli and jalapeno is vegan.

I got the tofu, it was cold and uncooked which is disappointing compared to Tokyo joes but better than silken tofu as it was firmer, in my opinion.

Pros: Healthy, Convenient ordering options, Fast

Cons: Expensive for vegans, No clear allergen info, Raw tofu/sprouts is a health hazard
