Was looking up restaurants in the Charleston SC area and saw that Motobar was bought out last week and stopped serving as of 3/27/15.

Strange and Wonderful - Edit
OK, here we have a slightly strange— and very wonderful new restaurant that's a vegan BIKER BAR! (Yes, really!) VERY cool, and GREAT food! The chef (a young lady named Paris) is a ROCK STAR! Elegant it ain't, but if you're in the area, it's well worth a visit. Friendly staff, great food, and atmosphere to spare! (Don't overthink it— just GO.)
Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Reasonable prices
Cons: Not a very large menu

A True Urban Vegan Joint - Edit
I love the vibe: the long, narrow area, the bar & furniture, nature programming projecting on a wall, and vintage decor. The menu is perfect for their concept! There is a wide range of fun offerings, the specials of which change daily. My husband had the breakfast burrito, which was exceptionally moist and starchy, with not only tofu scramble & veg but soysage and hash browns all wrapped up inside! I had croque monsieur, an open-faced sandwich that came with salad, and the sesame Brussels sprouts, pitched as the best side order available, and without being able to compare it with other choices, I sure enjoyed it! The staff engaged me in conversation about my food (beyond whether it's good), which I appreciated as a foodie. They had been testing different vegan cheeses, and I was gushing on the umami of what turned out to be Trader Joe's v-cheese. I didn't imbibe this time, but their bar menu is enticing, with creative and classic cocktails which use from-scratch mixers. Will definitely visit any time I'm in Charleston!
Pros: vegan establishment, fun vibe
Cons: too far away from where I currently live

1st visit - Edit
Wow! The Baltimore dog was scrumptious! Highly recommended by my wife who is not normally a 'dog fan. I had the Asian Kale salad and it was excellent. Wonderful home made ginger soy dressing had just a hint of spice to give the whole dish a slight kick.
The breakfast menu looks inviting so we will definitely be back. We were served by the General manager and owner who gave great insight into the philosophy behind the food and atmosphere.
Pros: good service, interesting menu , not at all 'off putting' for a Vegan Restaurant.
