Read moreThe owner is very kind and you can tell she loves her restaurant and what she does. We ate traditional Greek dishes, but in a completely plant-based version—delicious! We were also offered a mini velouté soup as an appetizer and a delicious white wine to accompany the desserts (which were spectacular).

I popped by for a snack one afternoon and enjoyed a tasty pumpkin pastry / Greek pie (savoury, not sweet). There weren’t a ton of food available when I visited, but the options that were available all looked tasty. Prices are fair - my snack was about €4. I want to come back here for a proper meal since I was impressed. This is definitely a restaurant worth visiting. The decoration is fun and cheery. The staff is helpful and kind. Note that the storefront is small and not overly identifiable; I initially walked past it and had to double back.

The local is wonderful and the lady that worked there is a lovely human. We had an amazing meal and at the end, after we paid and left a tip she gifted me a wonderful flower. Such a wonderful experience

We happened upon Mothers and had a delicious Greek brunch of Greek pie, Greek coffee and ginger lemonade. It was affordable and had a nice atmosphere.

I asked the woman working behind the counter to surprise me and bring me the best pie - the filling was chard with nuts and raisins (I believe) and the seasoning was delicious.

A great place to eat on our first night in Athens. Delicious slices of pie, burgers, cake and pastries. The service was warm and friendly and the music was great. Lots of lovely ornaments, books, records and games around the place. Our family really enjoyed eating here and will be back.

Lil vegan gem in Kookaki - Edit
I was around the area of Kookaki and happy cow suggested this lil gem for a quick snack break in the middle of my day. I had a delicious jackfruit burger which came with lots of salad and baked sweet potatoes and a lil side sauce. What else can you ask for? Note: Great music playing too and a beautifully decorated and very clean bathroom. Congrats people! #Veganuary

We went to Mother twice on our 4 day trip to Athens, once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times we were made very welcome. The first time I had a salad the second time I had pie. The pie was delicious. The place has a lovely feel to it and is in a great part of the city.

Reasonably priced for such a nice atmosphere. Really nice staff. I had the salad which was really delicious but I think could use less bread and more tomatoes. The wine was delicious and well priced.

The pies here are really good, the salad doesn't really feel like a salad, more like a super delicious mix of tomatoes, bread, oil, herbs and that vegan feta. I wish I had the recipe. Croissants are also delicious. Not too expensive either

I would give 4,5 stars because it was a bit pricey and would love to see some more options when it comes to food, but would definitely visit again.

we had breakfast here and enjoyed it a lot. tried two of the savoury pies and the croissants. the chocolate croissant is one of the best i’ve ever had (and i have been to france multiple times), i even returned in the evening to get another one to enjoy it while watching the sunset
