Read moreThe owner is very kind and you can tell she loves her restaurant and what she does. We ate traditional Greek dishes, but in a completely plant-based version—delicious! We were also offered a mini velouté soup as an appetizer and a delicious white wine to accompany the desserts (which were spectacular).

Mother Vegan is a bistro (not restaurant), which means that it has a limited menu. If the choices, all are made in-house. No Beyond meat or impossible burgers here. Clean healthy food is the focus and of the dishes I ate (3) everything’s was amazingly delicious. Add friendly service and knowledgeable nutritionists to the mix and you got a win-win.

The Pumpkin pie was amazing!!! The staff made us feel so welcome and it was definitely the best food we had in Athens!! Staff are very attentive and location is perfect for sitting outside in the Athens heat!

After a long day of walking in the heat, this place was exactly what I needed. It was very laidback, and the food was great. I got a tasty handmade burger that did not try to mimic the taste of meat. I personally like that. It came with some potatoes and a delicious dipping sauce. I also got an apple pie a la mode. The pie had a very fresh, apple-forward flavor as opposed to the very sugary flavor we’re used to in the U.S. The service was excellent, too - attentive without being intrusive. I recommend.

We had the Sweet Banana (don't expect banana bread) which was tasty, as well as tea and cappuccino freddo. It would be nice if the tea came in loose leaves rather than bags! The classical music playing is a nice touch.

Great wee vegan place, luckily round the corner from where I’m staying. Only grabbed a spinach pie and a couple of croissants on the go, but was totally great and tasty. Even my kids ate the the croissants, and they’re pretty fussy eaters. Slightly high in price I think, but will defo visit again soon.

The lady who runs Mother Vegan is so pleasant. She seems to run it all solo, but is calm and friendly. Good food for early lunch- will go back for breakfast, as they have a range of pastries (yum!).

The salad was very good and well seasoned.
Unfortunately, the tofu burger was a bit bland and could have used more sauce or ketchup.
I wish that some sauces were available at the counter.
