Appetising Vegan Indian Food!

Mostyn Tandoori is an Indian restaurant and takeaway tucked away on Mostyn Street in Llandudno. The restaurant is accessed via a cobbled passageway decorated with neon signs and fairy lights, making the journey up to the restaurant feel offbeat and adventurous. The restaurant itself is very airy and nicely decorated, with large windows offering views overlooking the busy high street and the attractive Holy Trinity Church.

Upon arrival, a staff member took us to a table and immediately began asking for personal details, such as our names and contact information, which felt confusing and disconcerting. When I asked what it was for, the server explained it was optional, so I opted out. Personally, I feel it should be explained why personal details are being requested, so people can make an informed choice and avoid awkwardness, even if they are only being obtained to receive promotional updates and discounts.

So, onto the vegan stuff. The vegan options were not well signposted on the menu, but I have eaten enough Indian food to know which dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. The curries section on the menu had a label indicating which curries were suitable for vegans. I ordered a Vegetable Bhuna, Chapati Bread, and Coconut Rice. The food was really fantastic, and the coconut rice was the best I've ever had. It was SO coconutty, with coconut being spread throughout the dish, and not just sprinkled on top of the rice. It paired well with the medium-hot curry, which was aromatic and so delicious. It was fresh, high-quality food, and I have no complaints.

I feel the menu could have been better labelled for vegans, and vegetarians too, for that matter, and there were no vegan desserts on the pudding menu. I'd definitely return to this restaurant, and it's a solid choice for vegans in Llandudno who are looking for some good Indian food.

Pros: Great Location, Nice Space, Nice Staff, , Exceptional Food, Vegan Friendly

Cons: Not Accesible for Many Disabled Peeople, Confusing Request for Personal Information

Amazing Vegan curries clearly labelled

Loads of vegan options, the menu identifies most that are vegan but the staff were excellent and explained the ingredients in other items not labelled.

Pros: Huge variety of options, Staff explained ingredients, had great knowledge, Food was DELICIOUS

Cons: Serve meat too, No vegan Nan's, but chapati was great
