Excellent for a vegan, veg, omni family!

My vegetarian daughter and I split the amichi platter. Seriously delicious! And huge. It came with appetizers and a boiling pot of spiced chickpeas.

Pros: Excellent service, Sampler platter

Authentic food, nice atmosphere!

Big vegan platter to share! It was not the best Ethiopian food I’ve had but still very tasty. Very friendly staff!

Ok, not the best Ethiopian food

The curries were very tasty, but the pancake was so sour to the point we thought it was expired. I am aware that pancake needs to be a bit sour, but I went to many different Ethiopian restaurants and it never was THAT sour.
The interior is well decorated, although very small, doesn't seem very accessible. The service was lovely.

The best Ethio-Eritrean food in London?

Fantastic, filling meal with friendly service. The cuisine has plenty of vegan options by default (the local fasting food is vegan so there’s a strong tradition), and although meat is served here this is a strong choice for vegans.

The best eritrean restaurant EVER

Visited a few months back and absolutely loved it! A wonderful dining experience - where you are encouraged to eat with your hands and food is shared from one platter! The food itself is divine, particularly enjoyed the 'shiro' and have been a long term fan of 'injera' so loved the 'Timtimo rolls'. Cannot wait to return with my boyfriend.

Pros: Great ethos , VERY TASTY food

Cons: Not entirely vegan

Delicious vegan options!

Loved this cute, family run joint. As newbies to the Eritrean cuisine, we appreciated the time spent explaining the various options to us. Defo recommend the platter that enables you to try a few of their dishes in "one". Flavourful and wholesome. Shiro was yum! But equally enjoyed the okra and cabbage. Only regret was that we ordered too much food and were literally in a food coma after. In hindsight I'd have skipped starter and gone straight to mains. Top tip - the part of the decor that look like funky hats... not actually headgear at all!

The best Ethiopian food

So, I love Ethiopian/ Eritrean food. I proclaim this place to be top in London after going to about 20 different places of this cuisine. Even though not all the food is Vegan. I would give it 5 stars if I could. Vegan food in Ethiopia has been part of culture for thousands of years. Part of being pure for religious purposes. What I like about this place, is how different the dinning experience is from the norm. You are encouraged to eat with your hands (tradition) and share from the same platter (later non optional unless eating alone). The staff are lovely and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place.

Pros: Great Vegan options , Cultural cuisine , Wholesome and tasty, traditional sharing food

A true eating experience!

I came here for dinner with my family for our first experience with Eritrean cuisine and let me tell you: we came to the right place!
The colours of the food were so vibran and because you eat everything with your own hands, it really is a true eating experience. The food itself, well that is just the most delicious explosion of flavours.
We ordered 10 injeras and the vegan platter. It included falafel with spicy hummus and spicy chilly paste as a starter and a tray where injeras were layered on and topped with 4 different dips/stews. They were Hamli (made of spinach), Timtimo (made of spicy lentils) Azifa (made of green lentils), Bamia (okra simmered with tomatoes and spices/herbs) and Kik (made of yellow split peas). We also ordered shiro (made of chickpeas) as an extra stew. Even though the menu states that the platter is for two people, it really is more than enough for 4 people. It was a lot of food, we ate until we were happily full and we still asked if they could box the leftovers up for us. The staff really was so friendly and accommodating. I totally recommend this place not only for the amazing vegan food but also because of the friendly staff and efficient service.

Pros: Delicious food , Friendly staff, Great choice of vegan dips/stews

Cons: Location

Vegan and full to the brim!

Since being a healthy vegan, I haven’t ever cured that deep feeling of being full, until now! The vegan platter is a sight for sore eyes with amazing flavours and a mass of food! The staff are so accommodating too with a great atmosphere. Worth a visit, especially when hungry.

Pros: FLAVOURS , FOOD QUANTITY , Atmosphere

Wish I could give this 5 stars!

The app doesn't let you give 5 stars to a restaurant which also serves meat, which is a shame because these guys really deserve it.

The food was PHENOMENAL. So delicious, such a variety, it was so nice to have so many choices!

It's a family run place, and they're so passionate about their food, it really shows. Super knowledgeable about both the meat and vegan options, incredibly friendly, helpful and just all round great! Cannot rate them enough, will definitely be coming back.

Pros: lots of vegan options, the platters are really goo

Cons: it's a little small and they were very busy so we

Come with a group, there is too much to eat!

Wow, Eritrean food with designated vegan options. A dream location. The portions are huge, we took the vegan selection that's to share for two. With an extra main and a starter it was perfectly filling for 4 people. Even if one of them wasn't super hungry, it's still will be dinner-filling for three, so don't get trapped into ordering more! Top it up with the coffee ceremony (with popcorn).

Booking advisable! Or come early —we came 6.30 is and luckily got a table for four, from 7.30 the place was full.

Pros: Designated vegan menu, Excellent coffee

Cons: No vegan desserts

Love this place!

This is a great local restaurant, especially good for veggie/vegans, due to the cultural food preferences of the Eritrean people. Delicious and fresh vegetable and lentil-based dishes

Wholesome family-run Eritrean restaurant

I've been here a few times and they're a very friendly lot. What luck that Ethiopian and Eritrean fasting food is all vegan! You can have the Chef's selection of vegetarian dishes - various vegetable mushes served up with (and on - the plate is covered in it!) injera, a wobbly pancake-type bread. No cutlery is offered - you do indeed eat with your hands. It's an experience!

Pros: Friendly

Cons: It's a pity it's not completely veggie!
