Not a health food store, but they do have grab&gos

This is a branch of a supermarket chain with sites all over NYC. It is not a health-food store: neither its produce nor packaged vegan items are on the level of what one would expect of a health-food store. I visited this branch, fully expecting to then write to HappyCow to have it removed as non-HappyCow worthy. I was surprised, however, to see that near the deli section of the store is a bunch of vegan sandwiches--about 5 different kinds (all reasonably priced), which is more so than one finds in a typical health food store. I bought a few of these sandwiches--I can't say that they were delicious, but there were edible, and next time I take a plane or train trip, I might buy a few of these sandwiches for the ride.

I am still not 100% sure that this belongs on HappyCow. However, if you are looking for a cheap vegan grab&go sandwich, and are not seeking an actual health store, you won't be that disappointed with this store.
