Nice veg spot

My bf and I followed the reviews here and ordered the khao soy and masaman curry. I actually wasn’t blown away by the curry like others, but I did enjoy the khao soy and the spring rolls. Very fast bringing out our food although it was a slow night.

Amazing Massaman curry!

Possibly the best massaman I had in Chiang Mai. Also very cheap! Restaurant can be a little hard to find as it's hiding behind a dozen huge plants!

Pros: Incredible curry, Cheap

Cons: Hard to find

delicious food

their food is so so good!
their pumpkin soup is so creamy and feels like home! the springrolls comes with a delicious peanut sauce!
the restaurant is in thai style and run by a cutw family! they don't have many tables and it's not somewhere where you would sit and read a book.
the prices are super good, definitely one of my favorite places in chiang mai!

Overpriced and a bit bland

Feel like the reviews are a bit generous. I had a panang curry and rice, which was quite bland, and cost 90baht.

Tasty

I had stir fried noodle and back rice dessert. The food was tasty but not prepared in huge portion. That's why I went for two orders. I like that they serve food in coconut bowls and plates. Everything seems eco-friendly.
I came back for a dinner on another day for some fresh spring rolls and tom kha soup. They were tasty despite not being enough to fill me. I actually liked the soup and the peanut sauce over the spring rolls.

A bit meh

I went for the first time today but wasn’t hugely impressed. I had the Penang curry which was basically a selection of steamed vegetables and a miserly amount of tofu in a tasty yet rather thin sauce.
No rice and not a huge portion.
Decor is beyond depressing and no drinking water.
I don’t think I’ll be back

Delicious!

Went there to try the Khao Soi based on recommendations from here... AMAZING!
So so good! So much flavour and freshness!
Managed to get back there one more time and tried the Pah Loh (Chinese style cinnamon tofu soup). It was also amazing! So pleased I tried it! Only remembered to take a photo when I’d eaten half of it : P
it looked way better when I first got it!
Seriously though, try both of those dishes especially if you haven’t before.

Pros: Lots of yummy vegan options, A few lesser known dishes to try , Friendly and quiet location

Very tasty food. Location is not very nice

We loved the food, but didn't enjoy the location. Thailand is of course, not a place for high class interior, but there is room for improvement here. The food tasted really really good!
Unfortunately the service is quite weird. You get a paper on which you write down what you want to order. Then everything gets served to you basically in silence. As we wanted to pay, we stood up and the guy just came up to us, put his headphones down and said "220"....well the service is obviously something that could use improvement.

Pros: Very very tasty food

Cons: Weird distance service, not a nice location to sit

Good Value

Khao Soi was great. Meals were 70B each which is a nice value for money compared to some other veg restaurants.

Wonderful cheap Thai food

Great little no frills place, with a huge menu where everything is 70 baht. All food is made fresh and the owner is so nice. Had the eggplant cashew salad, with beautiful smoky pieces of eggplant, and curry tofu peanut noodles, with a fantastic peanut sauce. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing food

The food here are super tasty. Somtam is really fresh and Khaosoi is a bomb. Khaosoi is definetly a must to order hear. The tom yum soup is full of flavor but it’s a little salty for me, you should order it with rice and it will be perfect. The price is also reasonable

Get the Khao soy noodles

Holy cow this food is good! I had the Khao soy curry noodles and they were super flavourful, plus some fresh spring rolls covered in a delicious peanut sauce. I highly highly recommend coming here and ordering both those dishes!

Pros: Delicious food

Cons: Ambience, but who cares??

Great vegan Thai food

Som tum, curries, shakes all tasty and clean!
No MSG ever.
Vegan without asking if you stick to the Thai food. All of you're ordering Western food, but then why did you come to Thailand!?

Write your order (by dish number) on a piece of paper and bring it back to the kitchen. If they're busy it'll take forever for someone to come if you wait... Go back to talk to them to pay.

Pros: Clean tasty food, Cheap

Khao Soi was very good. Eggplant salad as well. I don't like when eggplant is semi raw. This one was soft and delicious.

Pros: Very good taste and size for price

A solid 4 stars

This is a cute place, very simple decor, and the food is fine. Portions were not very small nor large, it was tasty. Just not the best place in town (Anchan) nor the most inventive (Free Bird). If you are in the south gate area of the Old City, it is a nice place to visit.

Pros: cute

Cons: nothing special

Favourite restaurant in Chiang Mai

Morning Glory is hands down my favourite place to eat in Chiang Mai. I am vegetarian but my partner eats meat and even he loves this place more than anywhere else. The Khao Soy and masaman curry where our favourite dishes to order. It’s run by a lovely family and we even did their cooking class which was great. So much choice here I highly recommend it.

Amazing food - awful service

Wanted to give five stars as the food was really so good but the waiter was unbelievably grumpy and thankless that I just have to knock a star off for that. He threw our menus down, threw a piece of paper down (to write our order on) and then threw our dishes down without a single word being uttered. Paneng and masaman curries - delicious! Fresh spring rolls - good. Atmosphere lacking.

Tasty food

We had fried spring rolls, pad Thai, and one of the curries. The food was very tasty and well priced. There was a cooking class on when we went, so just had to pop our head into the kitchen with our order and when we wanted to pay. The class did not seem to delay anyone's lunch. If you want super attentive service, may not be the place for you.
