So cute - Edit
The place was super cute and the food was great. Worth the ~30 min Sunday brunch wait. Tons of vegan options.

Omelette that is a scramble - Edit
I was saddened that the pesto omelette when veganized is a scramble but that disappointment melted away when I tasted it. Amazing! The nooch cheeze sauce was really savory and the smashed potatoes were perfect- crunchy and herb-crusted on the outside and soft in the center.

Vegan Options! - Edit
I've been wanting to visit Morning Glory Cafe if I ever got the chance to visit Eugene, as I prefer to support vegan/extremely vegan-friendly restaurants, greatly enjoy diners & breakfast food in general, & appreciate their commitment to using whole ingredients & organic products as often as is practical. My only concern, coming from other reviews, was regarding the wait--however, we arrived today (a Tuesday, granted) just a bit before noon & were seated almost instantly, provided water & menus in less than five minutes, & had our food (an order of the Vegan French Toast, Three Sisters w/ Moglo mushroom gravy, & Little Bear's Vegan Omelette) within fifteen. Each dish was abundantly portioned, & I appreciated the clarity & simplicity when it came to what was vegan & what wasn't (examples: all of the bread is not only organic but vegan, vegan butter is offered any time dairy butter is, & if you substitute the very obvious eggs/cheese components on most menu items everything else, or at least every item I perused, was vegan!). On top of the multitude of options, the portions were two-meal sized & the prices ($10-$13) were more than fair given the quantity & quality of the food we were served. For those concerned about service & atmosphere: the cafe was far from empty, yet the staff members we interacted with were very kind, patient, & swift, & the cafe itself was quite clean, peaceful, & charming. I wish we had you in Portland, Morning Glory Cafe! Keep up your wonderful work!

Lunch on the road - Edit
Stopped by this popular spot as we saw some promising menu choices. Enjoyed sesame stir fry and the fusion entrees. Nice flavor on both. Biscuit was fluffy and crunchy. Down side of location is 2 tables seated well after us received entrees first. So after waiting 30 minutes and asking we got our food. The stir fry was ordered with tempeh but received with tofu. They offered to remake but we suggested a side of tempeh which they did bring free of charge. The dish is definitely better with tempeh. Found tofu to be dense.
Read moreWe would dine there again but never if we had an appointment to be at. Although they were busy it; there were many empty tables.
Wait staff was kind and there is a groovy vibe. Liked also that condiments are on the table; jams and sauces.

Alright - Edit
The cafe was bustling so we got takeaway. We tried the breakfast sandwich, chocolate croissant and quesadilla (made vegan). Mild flavors but everything tasted pretty fresh. Found it odd that nutritional yeast was the substitution for cheese if you want something vegan. 🤔

vegan/vegetarian brunch in Eugene that is outstanding - Edit
I first lived in Eugene in 2003 and lived in Eugene numerous times since then last in 2014 to 2015. I am now in SF yet Morning Glory was and still is the spot for vegan/vegetarian brunch in Eugene. Amazing food and friendly/efficient service.
Read moreExpect a line at times yet everything here is amazing from the savory and sweet. During a recent week stay in Eugene I ate here twice and nearly thrice aka three times yet was a long line the last time was here so opted to go elsewhere due to a lack of time.
I love the food here and vibe here. This most recent visit went with a triple lucky noodles aka savory healthy and tasty noodle dish and the cajun tempeh.
Both were awesome. Recommended to check out this spot in Eugene or anywhere near it for that matter.

Wanted to love - Edit
Had been in the past and loved the atmosphere, but when returning found the service to be oddly unwelcoming and rude compared to other restaurants in Eugene. Fully vegetarian restaurant, with many vegan options, but we would not go back due to the uncomfortable service.

Would come back to try more menu items - Edit
My friend and I came here on a Monday morning for breakfast - and it was packed! We were able to get a table right away but there were plenty of people waiting outside for larger tables to become available.
Read moreThe menu is extensive and we were quite excited to try the food out. I ordered the Three Sisters with mushroom gravy, biscuit, and a side of soysage patties; my friend ordered the little bear's vegan omelette, curious about the potato shell, and a side of seasoned tempeh. The wait for food wasn't too long. The food was good. Not amazing, just good. We were a bit underwhelmed with the vegan omelette; the three sisters was better. Soysage patties were too cinnamon-y. Everything could've used some more flavor.
My latte and friend's coffee were both good. I got a chocolate chip cookie to go - tasty. Free wifi that worked well. Clean bathrooms. Cool decor and vibe. As a popular breakfast/brunch spot it has that feel of being packed and rushed but that comes with the territory. I'd come back and try a different dish out next time.
Pros: Large menu, Quick service, Free wifi
Cons: Food needs more flavor

This awesome little cafe was the perfect spot to grab an early breakfast while working in the area. I actually couldn't seem to find another vegan friendly breakfast spot open early enough.
Read moreThey have many options to choose from and gluten free friendly too! They had a separate menu with Fall specials, and those were truly the stand out dishes that I tried. The Blueberry Ginger Smoothie is to die for!! And the Breakfast Enchiladas were incredible (I added avocado).
On the permanent menu, the cinnamon raisin french toast is incredibleeeee, and it's gluten free also. They allow you to substitute the toast on other dishes with french toast, for an upcharge. Worth it!
The gluten free vegan bread was delicious and homemade jam tasted great and high quality. AND The coffee! Dark and robust! A
The servers are all very nice and attentive. it was like a Trader Joe's vibe in there! Even though it's a busy place in the morning, I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes before someone came over to refill my coffee. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The portions are large so I actually got 2 meals out of every meal I ordered here. Overall, such a great restaurant and I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.
Pros: Gluten free options , Great coffee , Good vibes

I arrived around 11 o clock and although somewhat busy, I was seated immediately outside. I ordered mamas tofu scramble and a half portion of biscuits and gravy. The scramble was good but it seemed weird to me to have broccoli in a scramble. The biscuits and gravy though was excellent and may be the best vegan biscuits and gravy I’ve had. This place also has a lot of baked desserts for sale.

Great Comfort Food at Local Establishment with long Wait Times - Edit
A local favorite, Morning Glory’s pared down rustic charm and whimsical art is conveniently located next to the Amtrak station. Always busy, expect a wait to be seated. Catering to vegans and vegetarians, items can be modified and they serve vegan butter and non- dairy milk.

100% worth a visit - Edit
I went there for breakfast on my way out of Eugene and I’m so glad that I did! This place is not only super cute, but has an amazing selection of vegan breakfasts. I ordered 2 different things because I couldn’t decide!
Read moreThe waffles were delicious and even though I’m not usually into sweet breakfast, I ate them with gusto (I ordered half portion and it was still really big). The Three Sisters (a mountain of veggies covered in nutritional yeast sauce) hit the spot for me, but I had too much food, so it became lunch (the half portion of it is still a lot). My non vegan partner really liked his omelette. If I’m ever back in Eugene, I’m definitely going to stop by at Morning Glory again!
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Good coffee , Cute decor and stickers
Cons: Ummm, too far from where I live?

Fresh & Delicious Vegan Food - Edit
Morning Glory is an adorable little vegetarian cafe in the heart of Eugene! Their menu is fully vegetarian, but most items can be made vegan, I would just make sure to double check with the staff. I had a tofu scramble with crispy seasoned potatoes and my mom ordered a tempeh sandwich and a side salad. Both items were fresh tasting, hearty, and delicious! They also have a pastry case with vegan pastries that you can take to go!
