A cooperative veggie food cafe in Christiania run mostly by young people. It's a 15 minute walk from Copenhagen centre or take bus 9A. Offers a daily selection of 5-6 prepared salads, 2 hot dishes, a soup of the day, and drinks. Kitchen staff changes, as do the flavors of the food depending on the cook on duty. Sit inside in the basic yet cozy space, or outside on wooden tables in the rustic garden among sparrows. Vegan dishes are labeled. Open Tue-Sun 12:00-21:00.

There is plenty of outdoor seating, there are lots of vegan options and although I only tried the soup with bread; the bread was lovely, the soup was full of flavour and it was topped with fresh herbs.

Outside tables with kinda a picnic vibe. There was a soup, a baked dish, a rice dish and many different salads to choose from. There was also a chocolate and almond cake. The day I went there everything was vegan, which was awesome. The portions are very generous. Everything was delicious.

I loved the chilled atmosphere of this small place inside Christiania, the food was honestly nothing special, like something that you could easily cook at home on a week day, still it has vegan options, smiling staff and a garden, so for me it's a big yes.

Nothing without garlic - Edit
Used to be good. They knew what is vegan and what is not. It is not like this anymore. It is changed after some period the place was closed and replacing the staff. They were surprised even rude when they got the question if the food contains any garlic and answered that everything is with garlic.

Morgenstedet is a lovely, friendly cafe in an alternative, hippy area of Copenhagen. It has a rotating menu of mains which come with a selection of really tasty salads.

We had two mains salads, one dessert and two drinks, and I was amazed that the whole thing only came to 285 DKK. The place is incredibly cheap for just how good the food is!
Note they do not accept cards so make sure you have cash on you, which you may also need for the vendors nearby.

Great alternative place that served only vegan food when we were there with exception of two salads that were vegetarian. Really tasty. We had soup of the day, some burrito filled with vegetables and a dish with pumpkin and spinach. The main dishes came with 3 different salads you could choose. All really tasty, nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

On the day I visited they had a selection of 3 hot dishes one of which was vegetarian if I remember correctly. I opted for a rice dish with red cabbage and a fantastic thick lemony sauce. It was scrumptious and filling! Two guys playing acoustic guitar and flute on the patch of grass added to the hippie, sixties vibe.

The food was delicious and everything on the menu vegan the day we went.Goes without saying that the atmosphere was chilled and the outdoor eating area a really nice place to be. A couple of caveats though: don't expect cheaper than normal Copenhagen prices because of the hippy vibe, also be aware they don't take cards.
