Amazing 🤩 - Edit

I’ve been to this cafe a few times and each time I was impressed with how amazing the food was. I love the atmosphere, I love that everything is vegan, and I love that there is a cute little shop that you can go into while you wait for your food. :)

Pros: Completely Vegan, Great Atmosphere, Food is bomb

Yum yum yummy - Edit

Great little place with lots of character and entirely vegan menu. I loved their trademarked sandwich, the FARBY. Tofurky roast beef, bbq sauce and housemade cheese sauce. Dreamy yummy, filling but not greasy. Great potato salad in the side. My daughter loved the Mac and cheese, and omnivore hubby loved the nachos. Great donut from a local bakery and excellent coffee. I love the murals on the wall too, so cute. I wish I lived locally so I could try the whole menu! Highly recommended. :)

Pros: All vegan , The FARBY, Unique

Cons: Limited seating

Great food, great people - Edit

My favorite restaurant by far! Decadent vegan food with amazing flavors and hearty portions. Friendly staff and an adorable interior. Also features an assortment of vegan cheeses, grab-and-go foods, and other vegan merchandise. Sometimes they post really gorgeous cakes on Instagram, but I've never gotten in fast enough to buy a slice haha

Pros: food is amazing, friendly staff, great merchandise

Cons: none. they are the best ever

Love this place! Everything we tried was amazing- and a great selection of Vegan products in back...which included their Louisville Vegan Jerky, our fave. Same owners we learned.
The vibe and service were wonderful as well, so glad we made it here during our trip.

THE BEST VEGAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD. - Edit

Morels Cafe is a truly unique experience and it is my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. The decor is funky yet modern and interesting. Not only is it a restaurant but it has a mini store, a deli case, desserts and kombucha on tap! I've tried the mock Arby's sandwich with curly fries, their Buffalo Chicken 'faux' Le with Mac and cheese (1,000,000/10) the buffalo wings and housemade ranch is so good. We drove an hour and a half with no disappointment. It was so good I had to thank the chef personally. Gosh now I'm hungry and I wanna go back.

Pros: Good atmosphere, Great food

Good food. - Edit

Was finally able to try Morel's Café yesterday. It lived up to the hype. I moved from Louisville years ago, but visit on a fairly regular basis. I had not been back to Louisville since this restaurant, opened, but understood that it was owned by the same folks that make Louisville Vegan Jerky. My family and I tried the Farby, the Chick-faux-le, and the bahn mi dogs. We got the curly fries, waffle fries, and dill potato salad as sides. We also were able to taste test the buffalo chicken dip while we were there, and liked it so much that we got a couple of pounds to go. Frankly, I had high expectations of the Farby, and think I would have enjoyed it more if I had gone in expectation free. It was good, but not my favorite. The bahn mi dogs were for our children. I asked that they not make them spicy, so they only included the cucumber slaw on as a topping. The children weren't huge fans of the slaw, so I scrapped it off, and ended up with two hot dogs. Also not bad. They enjoyed them. Our favorite things were absolutely the chicken-faux-le sandwich, and the buffalo chicken dip. Of note, I believe many of the faux-meat selections they use are tofuky based (unless otherwise noted). Something to keep in mind if you aren't a tofurky fan (personally, I am). Unfortunately we went an unideal time. Although we got there after 1:00, it was still so busy from the lunch crowd, that we had to wait quite some time for seating. Certainly one of the drawbacks of this location is the absolutely the limited seating space. Not enough to keep us away though . . . we will be going back as soon as we have the opportunity!

Pros: All Vegan, Good Food Selections

Cons: Limited Seating

Fantastic Vegan Junk Food. - Edit

Great for my husband that after going WFPB is having trouble gaining weight. However, a guilty pleasure for a WFPB, no oil. Would have loved some more healthy options.

Pros: Great for sceptical omnivores. Rich flavors and fa

Cons: No oil free and really healthy options.

The buffalo “wings” and an Impossible Steakhouse burger with waffle fries was more than I could comfortably eat but it was all so delicious I tried anyway! Everything on the menu sounds good so I can’t wait to go back.

So delicious!!! - Edit

My boyfriend is a meat eater and agreed to go here to eat. I had the Farby with curly fries they were warm and very tasty (a bit messy due to the cheese sauce). He had the grilled steakhouse burger with curly fries and really liked it. I tried it as well and thought it was so tasty! I had to order some items to go since I live about 2 hours away so I got a Gyro, some buffalo chicken dip, and a ham with cheese and pesto sandwich. Man was everything so good!!! I just wish I lived closer to go more often!

Pros: Inexpensive , Short wait times , Friendly staff

Cons: Lack of parking, Very small inside , Limited beverage choices

Eat your feels - Edit

Eat your feelings until your heart stops because of the sheer richness of Morels Cafe’s food.

Health food this is not, delicious delicious not health food. A local business with local clout. As I understand it: Morels has a some sort of connection with Louisville Vegan Jerky. And it shows in how with a visible understanding that fake meet needs to be at least better than its original inspiration. A skill they nail 90% of the time. But worry not about that 10% they are not afraid to change the menu and improve. If your flesh eating cousin or best pal doubts vegan food can be good take them and yourself here for a Farby and curly fries. You will be pleased.

They also sale and sample a number of vegan products for the curious but fearful eater. The vegan cheeses they sale and sample (such as myoko’s) will impress anyone. And the kimchi cream cheese and bagel will kick you in the face (lovingly) with how good it is.

If you feel your inner fat man child complaining about about how much you miss eating rich grease pit food since you went vegan then sooth your hedonistic urges here. Heck maybe, you are that hedonistic man child - have some self respect and eat here! And if you feel guilty afterwards you could always try to hit up the Episcopal Church that’s close by for confession. I’m sure the priest wouldn’t mind, I don’t know them but they do have that welcome sign and all that. Personally, I only feel guilty about how much I’ve spent here but my soul feels great - must be the food.

Pros: Eat the fat but better for you and the animals., Vegan Cheese that proves its worth., Farby is love, Farby is life.

Cons: Your cardiologist might not like it but it at leas, My family history of heart disease. :*(

Awesome! - Edit

My boyfriend and I were on our way through town and happened to stop here for lunch, and I am so glad we did. That was seriously some of the best vegan food I have ever had. If you need to find a place for lunch, go here. The buffalo chik'n, sliders, and mac n cheese were our favorite things we got, but it was all exceptionally good. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. If I am passing through again, this will definitely be where I stop.

Pros: Delicious, Friendly People, All Vegan

Utterly speechless. Visited Louisville a couple months ago and HAD to give Morels a try. Everything I ate was perfect. Definitely give this place a try, you won't regret it!

Excellent dining experience! - Edit

We stopped at Morels while driving through Louisville, and we were blown away by the food. We ordered a bagel with olive cream cheese, mac and cheese, buffalo chick, the Farby, and the Philly cheese steak waffle fries. Everything was delicious. I'm really picky about mac and cheese, and I loved theirs.

We had plenty of leftovers. The mac and cheese next day (with the philly cheese steak toppings & buffalo chick on top) was incredible. This place is a must!

Pros: Amazing food, Cute space, Friendly staff

The best - Edit

Hands down, fantastic. Comfort vegan. Goofy gift shop of sorts. Nice staff, fantastic eats.

I will say it definitely needs to use its interior space better (more seating, less awkward layout), but other than this slightly unfortunate situation, great little joint.

Pros: Vegan comfort food, Inviting atmosphere, The best vegan cheese I have ever tasted

Cons: Poor seating, Awkward layout

vegan restaurant in KY...Finally!! - Edit

It is so great to finally have an all vegan restaurant in KY. I brought my non-veg cousins here and they loved everything. They had the pulled pork sliders and philly cheese fries. I had the Farby meal (highly recommend!). Their mac & cheese wasn't the best, but their curly fries are legit. I'll definitely be back.

Pros: kombucha on tap, morels board game in store, carry vtopia and miyoko's cheese for sale.

June 2017 Vegan Goodness - Edit

My husband and I got the buffalo wings to share (so tasty!), he got the bbq/pork sandwich (he liked it), I got the kids pizza pocket with tater tots (I enjoyed mine and that crust was flaky and light), and we shared (I ate most of) the strawberry pop tart. It had icing with sprinkles. It wasn't overly sweet, it was great! See photos posted.

Pros: Variety of vegan options , True that's more than just salads/tofu, Legit tasty

Cons: Lack of parking but not a far walk
