Delicious - Edit
Quick service, the quesadilla was perfect. Guy behind the counter wasn't wearing a mask the whole time I was in there :(

The food is 10 times better than the service. Forget parking. - Edit
The service I experienced was horrible, but the food was pretty good. The bad service started with my call to double check they were open (a must for vegan places). The person that answered the phone was abrupt, there was a loud noise in the background and she appeared bothered by my call. She said she couldn’t hear me. I asked if they were open and she answered. I asked her how late and she answered. I confirmed they had their buffet and she answered. I said “Ok...” and she hung up. I drove over. Parking is highly unlikely, at least in the evening. I got lucky and found a spot about 2 blocks away, after 15 minutes of driving around. When I got there, I stood at the counter for at least 5 minutes. The worker behind the counter never acknowledged me and was going about talking with two other people. I finally walked over to her and asked if I could just sit anywhere. She then explained how it all worked and how I was to take a tray and fill it up with food and then they would weigh it and charge me. I filled up my tray and went and paid. I paid with a credit card. I was offered nothing to drink and, once I was paid, I was not offered a receipt. When I pulled my card out of the reader, she just turned and looked at her phone. I asked, “Is that it? Are we good.?” She looked up at me and said, “Uh huh.” As I said, the food was good, but the service and indifference was pretty stunning. Oh, btw, the noise in the background when I called was her running the mixer to make a smoothie or milkshake. She was standing next to it while answering the phone. I saw her do it when someone else called.😄

Good but expensive af - Edit
Yummy food but not worth the price. The buffet is by the lb. Staff is nice. Best dish is the meat loaf which they don't serve often.

Disappointing for the price - Edit
I went there walking more than 20 minutes to do myself a favor for a delicious vegan meal. And the burger tasted great! I had to wait for more than usual for the drink and it came in a plastic cup, which I can’t understand as it’s so bad for the environment and this place is more expensive than a takeaway. But I still wanted to stay positive. The burger itself is not that big but it was one of the best vegan burgers I ever had which is why I’m giving 3 stars. But the way they handed me the side dish was very unpleasant. It didn’t come together with the main dish but 5 minutes later and it was just a big pile of fries. Unfortunately, they also told me that they don’t offer any sauces which I can’t understand since they also offer fries. I have to admit that they handed me a lot (!) of fries and that they created some kind of garlic sauce themselves. I’m not from the U.S. and maybe some of the things I didn’t like are normal around here but I had to give out the information.

Favorite spot in jersey city - Edit
I love this cafe! The staff is kind and the food is amazing. I like the impossible burger and the Mac and cheese. There is also an amazing dessert section, and I suggest trying the tiramisu. I do not think the prices are bad for the quality of the food.

Good for certain things - Edit
I usually go here when i don’t have time to go anywhere else, the buffet is pretty cool but their burgers most of the time at inconsistent. I’ve order burgers many times and one day it’ll be perfect, all the ingredients are in it and the next half of the ingredients are missing. I have to check now whenever I place an order, otherwise I’ll get home and realize that I didn’t get everything I asked for. Sometimes they don’t even have certain burgers. The quesadillas never have enough cheese even thought they’re “quesadillas”.

Vegan Comfort Food in Unexpected Location - Edit
I was stoked to find that this place had opened in my neighborhood, seeing as how few vegan options we have in JC, but especially this area.
Read moreThere's a small a-la carte menu with sandwiches and drinks, but most of their food is self-serve buffet style. Everything was super well-seasoned and interesting, and there were plenty of options for other dietary restrictions. The ambiance could leave something to be desired, but this is the perfect food for take-out after a busy day.
I totally disagree with the posts claiming that this place is too expensive - my boyfriend and I filled our to-go plates and bought a dessert, and spent less than $30 with tip. It is priced by weight though, so you don't load up excessively like you would with an all-you-can-eat buffet.

A welcome addition in a not-so-vegan area - Edit
I was surprised to know that there was a vegan restaurant in that area so of course I was intrigued to try it out! Went with a friend who isn't vegan but enjoys vegan food. It's listed as vegan buffet and the food is presented in a buffet style but it's pay per weight. The food is tasty but nothing out of this world. It would be an amazing place to eat if the prices were lower. It didn't make sense paying per weight for many of the items there. They absolutely need to revise their prices if they want to stay in business (and I hope they do). I also ordered a vegan Mac n Cheese (which is made to order and isn't included as a buffet item) and they took too long to bring it out. It was tasty but had too much garlic which I let them know about. Overall I do hope they succeed but they need to revise a few things in order to do so.

Cons: Made-to-order items take a long time, Pay-per-weight doesn't make sense and is expensive, Staff could use some training in customer service

Excellent quick vegan option in the area! - Edit
I went here for the first time on a Tuesday evening. I tried a little bit of almost everything from the buffet, and was not disappointed by anything. I especially liked their tofu scramble! We also had a smoothie which was very good. For food this good, the price is ok with me. Of course I wish it was cheaper, but this isn't your Shop Rite salad bar. I am just really happy to have this option in the area. An added bonus is that it can be super quick if you're crunched for time. You can get a sit down plate or a to go container, and be out of there in 5 minutes if you need to.

Too Expensive - Edit
Went in there and racked up a plate of a little of everything to taste with my husband and spent about $40 for just 2 plates since they weigh by the lb. mind you my plate was t that full. The food was super bland. No flavor at all. Then I got the cherry lemonade and it tasted like colored water. There’s certain food u just don’t put out buffet style like the spaghetti with the sauce mixed in. It was so dry.

A vegan oasis - Edit
I work nearby and have long struggled with the lack of local veggie options. I was thrilled to hear about the opening of More Life Cafe, which is completely vegan.
Read moreStepping inside today during lunch, I found a juice bar and large buffet offering. The buffet is sold at $8.99 per pound. Offerings were vegetable heavy and included dishes such as rice and beans, eggplant and chickpeas, baked falafel, scrambled tofu, mashed yams, cauliflower and potatoes, and much more. They also had some empanadas for $2 each and, of course, fresh juices. The staff told me that the restaurant opened three weeks earlier and that the owner was currently working on developing a menu for a la carte offerings.
Overall, I found the food quite tasty. The produce seemed to be of good quality. One of the dishes I tried was a bit salty, but most items were well cooked and well seasoned. One thing I would like to see is some more protein options, such as faux meats, tempeh, and/or more tofu.
Ultimately, I am just really relieved to have a local vegan restaurant. No more skipping lunch because I forgot to pack something!
Pros: Vegan options in an area with few options., Relatively clean, healthy offerings.
Cons: Few protein options., Slightly pricey buffet by the pound.

YUM! - Edit
I've lived in this area for over ten years, and being mostly vegan, have had a really tough time finding places to eat around here. I COULD NOT believe my eyes when I saw More Life's awning go up -- it just seemed too good to be true! But it's true! It's all vegan and all delicious. So, so happy to have this rare gem so close to my house. Highlights are the meat loaf and the jackfruit "pulled pork". YUM.
