I loved being able to go into a space that is all vegan. They have a low-waste grocery section, cafe with delicious and healthy food, more grocery items, and a deli! The staff was super friendly and things were more affordable than I thought they would be.😄

Tofu Scramble!! - Edit
This is the best tofu scramble ever!! It is flavorful and creamy, and oh so delicious with the other items in the bowl. Also the avo toast is one of the prettiest I have ever seen, not to mention delicious. Finally, the cinnamon infused maple syrup on GF waffle was such a treat. We will definitely eat here again while in CDMX.

Read moreThe good: completely vegan, one of the first places that I could get actual fresh salad, huge selection of vegan cheeses, juices, açaí and sandwiches, brunch bowls, as well as coffee. Has dried goods and vegan charcuterie, a vegan butcher bar. What could go wrong?
The first glitch, ordering was difficult because the woman taking my order seemed to have no knowledge of the menu so any time I asked about preparation or ingredients she gave me a thousand mile stare… and PS I speak Spanish fluently. I have to ask sometimes about a word here or there but the problem was more that she had no idea about the menu and was a bit impatient with me. Her coworker was A little bit more knowledgeable but she was busy. It is walk up counter order and then they bring it to your table.
I got the kale salad with tempeh, garbanzo beans and Caesar dressing. Thrilled to see actual fresh kale salad, the first I’ve seen here in Mexico, actually pretty much the first fresh lettuce salad I have gotten at all here that looked like something I would make. I had asked for the dressing on the side and it came on the salad, oh well. Taste was “ok”, very bland, did not taste like Cesar at all.
Chandler got the tofu scramble. It came out cool, not warm at all although the taste was quite good. He is gluten-free and it came with gluten-free bread that we had asked for.
My almond milk latte has still not come out so I went back up to the counter and they were busy chatting, I asked about my latte and she apologized as she had forgotten.
I don’t fault them for this and it will probably be done soon but at the time we ate there they were building an outside patio area and the smell of lacquer became overwhelming, to the point that we had to leave. The noise was not fun either.
But really it’s just that it was a bit of a disappointment because of the service and attitude, and execution.

I’ve been frequenting Mora Mora for years because it’s healthy, tasty, fresh, and good quality. It’s a place where I can eat every day without feeling heavy. Everything is vegan, no deep fried foods, and the stores offer many good things to bring home like cheeses, meats, kombucha, and bulk products.

It's true that you only go there if you have a lot of time. I was waiting for my dish, although it was simple and there were not many customers. Then I had to remind to bring other things I've ordered. The personal is very friendly though, prices are affordable, and in their store you can find vegan things from detergent to different types of lentils, etc.

I recently went to Mora Mora for breakfast and had terrible service. I waited for over 45 minutes for my food and latte. By the time my food finally arrived, it was in in styrofoam tray instead of a nice bowl, as it was meant to be. No cutlery was brought out with my meal so I had to repeatedly ask for it, which took awhile, resulting in my meal getting cold. Really disappointing experience.
