Worth the wait - Edit
I ordered a pizza for pickup and had a 1:45 wait. I’m glad I ordered early! There are a bunch of toppings to choose from. The gluten-free vegan crust was good! Crispy and didn’t taste like it was both gluten-free and vegan.
Read morePros: Lots of toppings to choose, Gluten-free crust is vegan!, Nicely burnt edges
Cons: Very popular place so expect a wait

This restaurant has really nice vibes if you like skiing ⛷️ the vegan pizza was delicious. During my visit it was pretty busy so if your ordering taking out, I would advise you to call and order ahead.

Pizza is ok, but only thing for vegans - Edit
There are only a few items on the menu for vegans, one being pizzas with vegan crust and cheese (be careful not to get the house sauce which is not vegan). The pizza was fine, could maybe have been spiced better. We also got breadsticks (whole wheat vegan — same as pizza crust) with marinara. While they were breadsticks we could have done without them as they were not as good. Good beer selection though.

Cons: Not well seasoned, Vegan breadsticks boring

Great food and service. Josie, our server was terrific and even though the place was hopping, our food came out in wonderful time. This place is together, wide selection of beer and food. Very special in every way!!

!! "Vegan" items contain honey !! - Edit
Clearly labeled "vegan" whole wheat crust contains honey. Our server informed us of this after we ordered, saying that some vegans don't eat it... I am one of those vegans, and was very glad for the heads up. Got the cauliflower crust instead, it was good. Medium pizza was enough to share. Great taplist. Would give a higher rating if they didn't actively mislabel the menu.

Vegan cheese! - Edit
Easy to build your own option with vegan cheese. Not well labeled on the menu though as to what is vegan friendly. Good beer and a nice outdoor waiting area, important because it gets busy.

Really good vegan pizza options! - Edit
Vegan cheese can be substituted on any of the pizzas or you can just build your own. The wheat breadsticks are also vegan. The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was amazing. We heard this was a great place to eat in Anchorage (even without considering vegan options) and we were not disappointed! #Veganuary #Veganuary

Great pizza with vegan options - Edit
I enjoyed the pizza. They have vegan and gluten free crust available. They also have vegan cheese available. The menu didn't mention having vegan cheese so I was prepared to not have cheese at all and the waiter told me they have vegan cheese which was a great surprise!

Tastiest vegan pizza in town - Edit
The menu doesn’t clearly specify all that’s vegan, but there’s quite a bit. We got the veggie delight on the vegan GF cauliflower crust. It didn’t look all that impressive, and I was skeptical of the glowing reviews, but the first nibble packed a powerful taste experience and all the following bites followed suit. I can’t wait to return to try other vegan combinations. The raspberry zin salad was just okay.
Read morePros: Lots of vegan options, DELICIOUS, Easy to specify vegan
Cons: Up charge for vegan cheese and crust, Super busy, plan ahead , call well in advance for takeout or seating

great pizza!!! - Edit
the root beer is amazing, first of all. i asked our server for a ramekin of the vegan cheese to taste test first, and decided to go for it. i ordered the veggie delight pizza no broccoli sub pineapple on vegan whole wheat crust with the vegan cheese. delicious! the crust was amazing and the vegan cheese definitely was not gross like a lot can be. 10/10 would recommend. pretty reasonably priced too! i got a small pizza and had leftovers because it was still a ton of food. the outside seating area they’ve set up for COVID is huge too

Amazing crust and vegan cheese - Edit
The hype is very real here. Worth every penny and the long wait times. We ordered the forager pizza vegan style and it was amazing. The whole wheat crust is soft but chewy and the truffle oil really made this pizza stand out. Definitely a place to check out if you’ve never been.

The BEST pizza place and Beer - Edit
In Anchorage...and the rest of the nation... i have been informed Mooses Tooth is the number 1 selling non franchised pizza place for the most pizza sold anywhere in the nation. They make their own beer too. Vegan pizza get the wheat crust or the GF. They have vegan cheese and pick your favorite toppings

Their regular crust and gluten free crust are already vegan and they have 9 vegetarian pizzas to choose from! They have vegan cheese and easily sub it out. They always have a veggie soup option and their lentil Tahini soup was so, so good.

Vegans not very welcomed - Edit
I hate to do this because I LOVE the ambiance, beer, staff and owners, BUT vegans can really only have a couple salads and hummus/salsa/guac. None of the crusts are vegan and there is no vegan cheese.

Unless you want an ok salad, they don't offer any other vegan options. You can't even get a cheeseless pizza since none of their crusts are vegan.

not vegan but they try - Edit
If they have vegan cheese - ask for light on cheese as vegan cheese makes pizza soggy. Love the white pizza - my favorite. Ask for vegan options and ask for comment card - if we keep asking = vegan purchase power = things will change!

An Anchorage tradition - Edit
When I moved to Anchorage, I was told I HAD to visit the Mooses Tooth. It is always busy and you can usually expect to wait a few minutes. There are both indoor and outdoor waiting areas, as well as a bar where you can usually get immediate service. There is a brewery - they also brew their own root beer - and gift items as well. Growlers are available and there are often new brews and special events. The food is good and plentiful. Prices are competitive. Both a family friendly and date place. If you visit Anchorage, visit the Mooses Tooth.
