Good food, slow service - Edit
Had a lovely breakfast at Moose Coffee, the Manolito Verde. Only shame was the very slow service!

Good breakfast option - Edit
Very popular spot, with good breakfast options. We shared the Lula puebla and manolita verde dishes, which were so flavourful and the perfect start to the day.
Read moreWe also ordered a toasted bagel, with fresh fruit for our young son, which he loved. Special mention also to the superb coffee, although there is a charge for plant milk.
Pros: Great food, Choice, Staff
Cons: Plant milk charge

Dire service wasn't saved by the pretty good food. - Edit
They had a lot of exciting options for vegans and non-vegans so we were excited to go here but as soon as we got there we were greeted with an eye roll by a staff member who clearly couldn't be bothered to do her job (or to even pretend to want to).
Read moreWe were seated and then waited over half an hour for a server to come to our table, we gave them some grace because it was busy but by the half hour mark we'd had enough of being ignored by the staff who were sloping around the restaurant like they'd rather be anywhere but there, so went to get a member of staff. They took our order and it took a further 20 plus minutes for our drinks to come and then the food came about 5 minutes after, I think anyone can agree that an hour to get your drinks is an absolute joke.
The food was nice, filling but at that point we'd probably have eaten the menus and enjoyed them because we'd waited so long.
And to top it off we had to go and ask them for the bill because we were being ignored again.
Wouldn't recommend it, especially on a weekend when it's busy, the staff weren't remotely apologetic about our wait and it was very clear they couldn't care less about the customers.
I work in hospitality and I know it can be stressful but there's no excuse to give customers such a bad experience, to barely grace them with a smile when we weren't being difficult customers or doing anything to them at all is a disgrace.
Pros: The decor
Cons: Service speed, Attitude of staff

Mediocre Breakfast - Edit
I had high hopes for the vegan grand bouche but sadly it did disappoint. Initial flavour really nice with the vanilla batter but towards the bottom of the pile it was mostly burnt toast… and the proportion of berries and pecans could have been more. Service was very slow with an over 30 minute wait even though it wasn’t that busy. More worthwhile to try the vegan savoury options.

Really enjoyed it here! - Edit
I had the Lula Puebla, which I would describe as avocado toast with a twist. It was super tasty, really well spiced and I would definitely have it again!

Nice coffee - amazing tofu - Edit
I had tofu scramble, with sourdough and vegan sausage. The sausage was fine but the sourdough and tofu was amazing! Really tasty. I will go back and try other options.
Read moreIt’s a three star purely due to there being few options but in terms of quality, it was great.

Generous portions - Edit
I tried the tofu scramble which was good but needed seasoning. I added a side of garlic spinach which helped flavour the scramble. It also comes with two vegan sausages, sourdough toast, and vegan butter.

Interesting vegan options - Edit
Spacious cafe, smarter than the average diner, offering four vegan all-day breakfast options that are different from the usual full English, like tortillas with refried beans and potato hash with veg and Cajun ketchup. Portions are large and very filling.

Let me explain - Edit
I ordered the Verrazano Grande which is a vegan dish of scrambled tofu on sourdough with 2 vegan sausages. The sausages were quite basic and didn't really add to the dish. The look of the tofu was very deceiving, made to look like runny scrambled egg but seasoned exceptionally well. The staff looking after the table were great, the main reason for giving the restaurant a 3 is they have amazing looking dishes like pancake stacks and French toast not offered as a vegan option. These items can easily be veganised so hopefully 2020 Moose coffee may offer a wider selection
Read morePros: Lots of vegetarian options
Cons: options that could easily be veganised aren't, Quite small in size so queues of Christmas period
