Great vegan options in cozy atmosphere - Edit
We went to Moose-aka (love the name!) after hiking in the park and were hungry! What a pleasant surprise to find this level of vegan food in the area. Menu has clearly marked vegan items and the waiter also made sure to ask about diet. We had the vegan stuffed pepper- really good! Also had the Pilav, which was good, but a little mushy. Was hoping for more veggies but I think they were all blended as kind of a stuffing. Tasted good though. Not to be missed is the Grandmothers Chocolate Cake- incredible! The menu is unique, they take great pride in their service and food and it shows. Can get busy so try and go a little before or after the dinner rush.

Excellence in Denali National Park - Edit
Besides the excellent vegan entree options, the service is super friendly, which can be hard to find outside of a national park. They even have two vegan dessert options, including one that they don’t advertise as vegan as non-vegans won’t order it. True story!

I ordered vegan stuffed bell pepper for $24. What I got was ONE bell pepper, borderline rotten, with watery pilaf. Stay away.

Cozy restaurant, no vegan crepes anymore - Edit
This is a cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere and very friendly service. The servers know what veganism is and can guide you through their menu. This restaurant is only open from Mid May until mid September, and closed the rest of the year.
Read moreUnfortunately they no longer serve vegan crepes, but there are still vegan options. The vegan fry bread with pepper spread was good. The stuffed pepper was average. The Sangria and Bloody Mary were great cocktails.
If you order the Bloody Mary - specify that you are vegan since they serve it with a skewer of cheese and olives.

We had a great experience here and unfortunately the Happy Cow App doesn’t allow a 5 star rating to be given. Michael took great care of our food restrictions and did it with a smile! The food was excellent and service was best in class.

Vegans welcomed! - Edit
As a plant-only eater, I was concerned for my options in Denali Park (burgers, steaks, pizza, seafood), but much to my surprise we had the most fabulous food! Moose-AKa's (Moo-sa-kas.... not Moose- A.K.As as I thought) is a delightful Serbian restaurant in the Denali village. Maja and Chef Michael are friendly, inviting and have created a space that takes you to another land while you enjoy their delicious dishes. Maja was excited to learn we were looking for vegan options and guided our experience. We were so pleased that we came back in the morning to have brunch. Try the vegan crepe - it's so tasty! We heard it gets packed in the busy tourist season.... so reserve your space so you can enjoy this amazing food!
