underwhelming - Edit
It was my first time in Brussels so I don't know if that's a Brussels thing but I was overall surprised by the lack of vegan places in the "capital of the EU" as well as prices.
I've been to a lot of vegan and raw places all over the globe and I found moonfood to be rather underwhelming. We paid 40€ for 2 plates and the food was bland. My girlfriend even had to throw up afterwards.
Not something I'd give a second shot.
Pros: location?, one of very few vegan options
Cons: bland, expensive

Great Lunch - Edit
I was a little bit skeptical about coming here - I've not always been impressed by 'plate by weight' places before, and I'm not really into raw food. I just want tasty veggie food. However, I had a great experience at Moonfood. My partner & I came for a late lunch, but there was still plenty of choice, we got to try some different things, it was hot, fresh and delicious. And the interior is just lovely - very stylish, and comfortable. I guess my only (small) complaint is that I found it a little pricey, especially the drinks and desserts. But I really did enjoy the food.
Pros: Delicious food, Lovely interior, plenty of room, Good choice
Cons: A little pricey

Very nice place - Edit
A pay-per-gram restaurant. They have a wide selection of cooked and raw dishes. The food itself is very tasty, and the soup is extraordinary. We went there twice and came out pleased both times. It's not cheap, but worth the price if you're into homemade dishes.

Everything great except the carrot cake - Edit
I went to Moonfood for lunch. I filled my dish with many delicious things from the buffet (11 euros for a dish full of stuff, it seems fair to me), and I got a carrot cake as well. The latter wasn't great, not very tasty, but the rest of the food was great! Would go again for sure.
Pros: Good quality food, Great choice, Fairly priced
Cons: Carrot cake not great

would certainly go again - Edit
I really loved how the place looked, the backgroundmusic was right and the people were soooo friendly!! the internet was down and i didn't had any cash to pay but this was no problem: i could eat first and bring the money later. When I arrived, there wasn't so much food left but when i left I saw they refilled it so that's really nice. There was still plenty of food to choose from. I really liked everything I ate. But i didn't take a desert because it was too pricy in my opinion. And also, i couldn't possibly eat anything for the next hour because i was so full.
Pros: self service, nice interior, good food
Cons: took a while before refill, wifi down, pricy deserts

Yummy but pricey - Edit
Get there early, as one day I went at 18:30 and they were sold out. Fairly pricely (about 20 euros for soup and a plate). Lots of choices, most were fairly yummy. Not the most amazing food, but still very good. The tiramisu was disappointing, I really didn't like it very much. But the soup was very good and almost everything else I enjoyed. Nice atmosphere and great location.
Pros: Lots of all vegan choices, Mostly very yummy, Desserts!
Cons: A bit pricey, Dessert was not yummy

timing - Edit
have been 3 times so far... not once was there any food woth mentioning. "they ran out" ... and for the little there was left, a few crackers, some salads left overs... they wouldn t give us a "deal". i do love raw food and i really wanted to eat there!! they have a raw tiramisu which is superdelicious and very expensive for its size... also when i thought i d go sit upstairs i found a room that was like a garbage place...a mountain of empty crates and cartons as if they hadn t bothered to take out their "paper" for months on end... mmm weird place. water should be free. thwy have this 10 times filtered water. right.
Pros: i imagine the good food. the tiramisu
Cons: expensive. no food left at 1 pm

Good but fat! - Edit
100% vegan , very good but very fat food , the price is a bit expensive but the decor and the atmosphere is very cozy , clean and environmentally friendly .
Nice but only for occasions because of the price and too fat food.
I found the staff as too dogmatic compared to the raw food or even pretentious limit, as I noticed that the seats were leather which does not really associated with the animal cause .
A little boho chic but gluten-free , raw and vegan :)

glad they are there - Edit
It's still hard to beleive Brussels now has a nice vegan buffet - and so centrally located.
The buffet is really nice (pay by weight - it can get pricey), especially the raw options that are sophisticated and tasty.
Two negative things I must mention:
-the staff can be be very unpleasant and dogmatic about "health food" (6 months ago they'd claim raw food was the only edible food... now they serve cooked things after all... well.)
-the interior is nice and cosy untill the awkward moment you notice the seats are leather
Pros: the food, the location, raw options
Cons: staff can be rude, leather seats

Tasty, healthy, relaxed - Edit
Moonfood offers a tasty and creative buffet, all vegan and gluten-free.
They serve cooked and raw dishes, so everyone can find something to satisfy their craving.
The restaurant is wide and bright, a great refuge for a quiet and lazy meal, even during rushed lunch breaks.

Excellent food and nice staff! Try it! - Edit
I have been there twice because I didn't have the time to prepare my vegan lunch. I must say from the few vegan friendly place I have tried in Brussels (close to my office) so far this one is the best. The food is excellent, nice buffet but also some nice take away if you are in a hurry. The responsible of the place took the time to explain me the concept and the details of each dishes. If you are raw vegan you'll definitely enjoy this!
Pros: Food Quality & Choice, Staff

marvellous - Edit
At last, a vegan restaurant in Brussels. I finally went here - as it is only open during the week ans is not near my work. It is a buffet where you pay by weight. The food is all vegan and gluten free and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The decor is great too. And the staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly. They told me they ,Igor start opening at weekends; I do hope so as I'd go there every week. Definitely worth a visit.
Pros: delicious food, very friendly
Cons: none

Slightly pricy but so very welcome! - Edit
Have been twice now for lunch and will definitely continue to go back. The food is delicious! You can choose from a raw food buffet and warm dishes one. What you pay is determined by weight. For a decent plate (I've uploaded a pic) I paid about 12 euros. Not cheap but when compared to the other lunchtime places in the neighbourhood near the Arts loi metro station, it's good value - especially as it's the only good vegan option. Wish there were more places like this in Brussels!

A bit pricy but really good! - Edit
I loved the place! it's very 'open', there's a good light, it's a very "zen" setting. The staff was so nice, they explained everything that was available and everything I chose to eat was very good ( I really liked the raw zucchini noodles with the 'pesto'). Even if it is not that cheap ( I do understand why ) it is affordable for few occasions, I try to go there every two month if I can, i've only been vegan since june so I haven't been there a lot yet :)
Pros: nice staff, good food
Cons: not really cheap

Healthy food with friendly service - Edit
My hubbie and I visited Moonfood today. The staff was friendly trying to explain every dish they had as he was preparing the name tag. The place is sunny and spacious. Food might not be fulfulling but the dessert will do. Not much of flavor if you ask me; it's a healthier kind of food. Water/Drinks in Brussels are expensive so I don't have an issue with the price.
Pros: Healthy food, Quite a variety of choices, Freindly staff
Cons: Not fulfilling

Enjoyed it - Edit
We walked quite a while to get here so we were very thirsty. Water bottles are very small and you have you keep buying bottles if you want more. We got a wrap and it was tasty. Customer service wasn't great. It's a bit upsetting when it's so quiet and you don't get friendly service especially when you've walked a long way to support a business.
Pros: Wrap was good
Cons: Water is expensive , Price, Customer service wasn't great

Healthy, homemade and delicious - Edit
Great place with a rather large choice of homemade, organic, vegan food. The owner explained us a bit about how the food was made and I had the impression they really took care of everything to make it healthy: no sugar, low baking temperature, highly nutritious ... It's not cheap, but a normal price for Brussels, I think, and you get value for your money. The place is nicely decorated and it's located very close to the central station. Definitely going back!

foodie heaven - Edit
I really don't know what the negative atmosphere in moonfood's reviews is about.
The staff was super nice and the food more than delicious. If I lived closed I'd come here so much more often.
To me veganism is (of course) about animals and cruelty but also about healthy food and environmental issues. This places does a lot more about that than fake meat burger parlours using GMO soy in literally everything.
Pros: soy free, gluten free and organic, super nice

delicious gluten, lacto and refined sugar free food - Edit
es
We (me and my boyfriend) have the impression that all vegan people on these sites are born negative.
As a die hard vegans we had a look at this vegan restaurant and found it top quality and delicious food (organic, glutenfree, lactose free and no refined surgars yiha !! .
The girl who works there is vegan and while chatting with her she told us that the owner himself made the chairs and that he would never use leather. The ecopelle is a great alternative and looks amazing!! ... à bientot moonfood we'll be back
Pros: delicious gluten, lacto and ref.sugarfree, high end interior design, offer will be extended
Cons: parking

Not worth the money - Edit
I was really excited to have another vegan option in the center of Brussels, so close to work, but after giving this place two tries, I won't be going back. The amount of food you get for the money is scant and unsatisfying, and pretty much everything I ate there was bland. (A raw/gluten-free wrap filled with cashew cheese (?) on a bed of undressed raw veggies. Idem ditto raw/gluten-free ravioi I tasted from my friend's plate. The sushi was ok, but mainly because it was dipped in tamari which gave it some flavor.) The options are incredibly limited. Each time I've been there has been two choices of main and one dessert. The three juices I saw offered were all vegetable based, which is fine if that's what you like, but I don't. I got a beet juice just to drink SOMETHING, but only took a few sips.
I also can't help but wonder about a VEGAN restaurant with LEATHER seats. This place seems to be all about the "raw food lifestyle veganism" and clearly not about the animals.
Pros: location, nicely lit
Cons: expensive, bland food, leather seats

A-girl 18 May 2015 - You do realize that ecopelle is leather, right? It's recycled leather, but it's still leather.
I beg to differ about being negative. There are a number of places to get vegan food in Brussels that I love (the Loving Hut Express and Greenway to name a couple) but I haven't had time to review them yet.
I'm happy for you that you like this place. Tastes differ. For me, this is the kind of place that makes people think that veganism is all about deprivation. Vegan food need not be gluten free or free of refined sugars. Nor does food have to be raw to be vegan. I saw a review of this place on Yelp by someone who was curious about veganism and after eating at Moonfood decided that if this was veganism it wasn't for them because they left so unsatisfied. That makes me sad.
Pierre de Lescazes 21 May 2015 - my boyfriend told me the girl used the word simili for the seats
we prefer the healthy vegan food versus the other outlets u name

A semi-cosy place to grab a snack - Edit
I went there at 9am-ish yesterday to buy breakfast but turned out that it wasn't opened untill 10am. So i went back for lunch instead and bought a gazpacho soup (that i ate with a baugette from a bakery) and a wrap. I wasn't a big fan of the wrap but the soup was realy good with some bread. A bit expensive considering the amount but the soup was worth it to me.
Pros: Great soup
Cons: not too many breakfast-like options
