Had no clue

Popped in here this evening - prospect of 25 vegan dishes was very appealing. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. I suspect they’ve had a change of ownership as the experience was very different to what I was expecting.
There was nothing marked as vegan on the menu… often the case, so we asked the staff what is or could be made vegan. Blank face. ‘I’ll go and look at the sauces…. Errr the black bean sauce is vegan’.
‘Ah, so you can do Bean Curd in black bean sauce?’
‘No, the chef only knows the dishes on the menu, can’t make any changes to them’
At this point we apologised politely and left.

Cons: Nothing vegan listed, Nothing vegan possible, Staff had no idea

Good Chinese restaurant, many vegan options

The Happy Cow app brought us here.
Excellent choice, as a starter we took Plant-based Pancake Rolls, these were mini spring rolls with a typical artfully carved carrot, the main course was delicious: Singapore Chow Mein - Udon and Fried Long Beans & Yellow Spicy Bean Sauce.

Pros: Many vegan disches on the menu, Friendly staff, Good price/quality ratio

Good Chinese

I ate here with my family of animal eaters when on holiday in Cornwall, I found it through the vegan Cornwall guide. The staff were nice and helpful and there was a good range of vegetarian dishes some of which were vegan anyway (as is the way with chinese) and some like the vermicelli noodles could be made without the egg. The quality of the food was good. The portions are very large for a Chinese! The rest of my family enjoyed their meal too. Would recommend.
