Weird experience - Edit
I went here with several members of my family recently. There was a white guy with the name tag “Yuta” who pretended to not speak English for 3/4 of the meal. My dad and brother are full Japanese and he just acknowledged them, speaking in Japanese. We asked for a couple items for my little nephews and the non Japanese people working ignored us most of the time. It felt like they were pretending to not be fluent in English as well. It was such a weird vibe. The only employee who made the dining experience pleasant was called Ami.
Read moreThe air smells like beef inside because they table side torch raw meat on ramen, which was the most commonly ordered item in the restaurant. I will never go here again.
Pros: Location
Cons: Weird servers, Meat air

I got the spicy tantan and gyoza’s. The ramen was super tasty but was very rich. The dumplings were great.

A real tan tan spicy ramen so not for you if you like mild. Can accomodatte all dietaries. Very tasty, the tofu on top is a must.
Read moreI went back and tried the non spicy vegan and it was amazing, I think they are now my second best option in Kyoto. The teriyaki tofu was delightful.

AMAZING - Vegan Spicy Tandan Ramen - Edit
The spicy soy milk ramen was divine, so good and the flavors were wonderful. I wish I had the recipe 😭.
Read moreThe other vegan items on the menu were pretty good too. Will definitely go back if I can, next time I'm in Japan.
Pros: The Soy milk ramen was great., The sake was really good., The restaurant is right next to the Nishiki Market

Okey place - Edit
Did not try the ramen, which I think is what most people will be looking for. But there are a few clearly marked options throughout the menu. Inari and teriyaki tofu were fine.

Why was my ramen looking like a stir fry 😭 - Edit
I read reviews and was so excited but I didn’t even use my spoon for my ramen there was no soup. I hope it was just a bad night because other photos look so great. Flavour was still yum but not at all what I’d hoped for when ordering spicy ramen. Steamed veg underwhelming too I’m sorry 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Good Ramen but... - Edit
Went here with a friend who can NOT handle spice. We both ordered the non spicy ramen and both got the spicy one! I told the waiter about the mistake, he apologized and said that he will remake it and throw away the ones we just got. I hate wasting food so we ate the spicy ones...
Read moreTastewise it was really good and they seemed to feel sorry for my friend that looked like he was dying from the spice and god us a small bowl of their non-spicy soup to thin out the other one.
We also got the Inari as starters. I often get the Inari from Gyomu Suupa and these ones were the exact same (looks, size, shape, taste...).
We were seated at the bar directry in front of the box with raw fish inside and opposite the stove so the smell of raw and cooked fish and meat was rather intense.
The ice cream was really good!
Everything was rather expensive and there was not one Japanese customer in the store!
Cons: Wrong order, Smell of raw fish, Rather expensive

Creamiest ramen! - Edit
LOVED! So filling and delicious. Just what we needed after arriving in Kyoto! Tofu was fried to perfection too. My boyfriend got the spicy ramen, and it was even too spicy for him (and he can handle it!!)

Vegan Ramen and Lots of Side Options as well! - Edit
The vegan spicy ramen was a little too spicy for me, but the taste was incredible! They had 2 different vegan ramens and lots of vegan sides, including dumplings and vegan sashimi. Branding of this place is cute and they also have lots of fun drinks! A touch on the expensive side, but good!

The BEST ramen of my trip! - Edit
2 vegan options: creamy soy or spicy. I had the creamy option for 2 days in a row. It was the best meal I had in 2 weeks of visiting Kyoto/Osaka/Tokyo. There is a huge line around 6pm so I advise a lunchtime/afternoon visit as you may be able to walk straight in. My wife is a meat eater and here we could both enjoy a meal together.

worth the wait! - Edit
Have been hanging for a veggie Raman since we got to Japan and I am so happy this was the first experience. Just the right amount of spice, so thick and creamy. I can’t fault this ramen. The lines are long, but they move quickly. Would be 5 stars if I could.

Most people (including us) were not Japanese. The creamy and spicy ramen were both delicious. Skip the steamed “Kyoto vegetables.” They’re boring.

Spicy and creamy vegan ramen - Edit
Although the ramen is a bit expensive (1848 yen per bowl), we still had a very nice and vegan friendly dinner. But we did have to wait in line for a little while, ±15 minutes.
Read moreWe started with the vegan gyozas as an appetizer and then had the the two vegan ramens: spicy tandan ramen and creamy soy milk ramen. You can choose between fried tofu or an egg on top of your ramen, depending on if you're a vegan or vegetarian.
(My boyfriend is vegan, I'm vegetarian)
Their à la cart menu also has several vegan options and they had limited time vegan gyozas.
If you sit at the counter, like we did, you can see the food being cooked in front of you which is a nice bonus :)

Perfect thick creamy spicy broth for a cold rainy day! I don’t eat spring onions and they were very accommodating in not adding it. Oh and adding the half boil egg and fried tofu is so good!

Vegan ramen in a really not vegan environment - Edit
A not welcoming ambience, young staff that does the bare minimum, where wagyu meat is fire cooked at the tables for most tables as their hero product.
Read moreWith 2 vegan ramen options.
I ordered the spicy one, which was way way too creamy and thick, it made it look more like a pasta sauce than a ramen broth.
Shane because the flavour wasn't too bad.
Pros: I liked the black Sésame seeds butter in the ramen, I liked the ramen toppings
Cons: The frozen tofu was so dry, The broth was more of a cream, The smell of wagyu beef been cooked
