Serves meat, vegan options available. Chain of licensed Mexican bar and restaurants founded 1978 in Burleigh Heads QLD. Uses Sorona-style recipes, and atmosphere is family casual. The updated vegan menu (shown online) offers a variety of choices: dips, tostadas, nachos, burritos, tacos, fajitas, multiple combination platters, and a few desserts. Uses plant-based alternatives in the vegan food, like vegan cheese and sour cream, mock chicken and beef, coconut cream. The house guacamole, hot sauce dip, frijole dip (without the cheese) are vegan. Ask for vegan beer/wine. Reported closed April 2023.

Great to have vegans considered - thank you - but expensive - Edit
the mains are a good size, but priced at $27-29. Sides (eg chilli sauce) are charged extra, which is a bit cheeky.
Read moreOn the day that we went (as a vegan group), they were out of stock of vegan cheese, which is kinda disappointing for mexican food.
Pros: vegan options, good parking

Read moreThe staff are always friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. I've had the nachos and the mixed plate as well as the sangria.
They have a big selection of menu items that aren't too expensive. Great to have somewhere in the area that offers a vegan menu.

A nice relaxing atmosphere, service is very friendly, they answer all vegan questions without a huff and puff which is always nice! I love the food and the Sangria is delicious!

Finally a local restaurant with a dedicated vegan menu. So many options! They even have a vegan desert menu. The huge drinks list also stated which drinks were vegan which was much appreciated! We went on a busy Friday night, didn't book but only managed to get the last table. Many people were turned away so I suggest booking.
