Serves meat, vegan options available. Chain of licensed Mexican bar and restaurants founded 1978 in Burleigh Heads QLD. Uses Sorona-style recipes, and atmosphere is family casual. The updated vegan menu (shown online) offers a variety of choices: dips, tostadas, nachos, burritos, tacos, fajitas, multiple combination platters, and a few desserts. Uses plant-based alternatives in the vegan food, like vegan cheese and sour cream, mock chicken and beef, coconut cream. The house guacamole, hot sauce dip, frijole dip (without the cheese) are vegan. Ask for vegan beer/wine. Open Mon 5:30pm-9:30pm, Tue-Sun 11:30am-1:30pm, Wed-Sun 5:30pm-9:30pm.

Delicious!

I had the enchilada and it was so yummy, such a cute place with a tonne of vegan options!

Has a separate vegan/veg menu (just need to ask for it) with heapsss of options. Great value for what you get.

So many options!

I’ve always loved Montezuma’s so it was really exciting to see that they had so many vegan options! They had all my old favourites but with vegan alternatives for cheese and sour cream. Be aware that the separate menu is vegetarian/vegan so you need to specify what you want. I ordered the burrito and churros which were great but be aware that the churros dipping sauce is not vegan.

So good

I have always loved montezumas, so I’m glad I can still eat there now I’m vegan. Their vegan dips were delicious, and I loved the fake chicken fajitas!
