Serves meat, vegan options available. A chain tex-mex restaurant. Vegan options are not labelled but staff are knowledgeable and able to accommodate. Vegans could get the veggie burrito (request a different sauce from the default one), veggie fajitas without cheese or sour cream and guacamole. Other items can also be veganized since beans and rice are vegan-friendly. Open Mon-Thu 9:00am-8:00pm, Fri-Sat 9:00am-9:00pm, Sun 9:00am-8:00pm.

Steamed veggie plate

Monterey’s little Mexico falls into the exact same pitfalls as other Mexican restaurants in Bartlesville.

If you just want a plate of steamed veggies with non vegan rice and dairy, be my guest. This was really disappointing, and there’s no black bean option.

Honestly, you’re better off eating chips and salsa for dinner.

Great Staff. Good vibe. Good food

I liked how both the staff members I interacted with knew about vegetarian options. While I checked rice and beans with them, they thought about the burrito sauce on their own and substituted it with the one without beef broth.

Pros: Knowledgeable and friendly staff, Willingness to accomodate, Good food

Cons: Veg options and allergens not spelled out
