Superior Chef!

The chef Josh really knows his way around a block of tofu. Last night I was in the area with my husband and we had heard good things about this restaurant but with it being a steak house and my being a vegan I have never bothered to check it out. I’m glad I did because my vegan dish was incredibly delicious. There’s no description of the dish, it’s just chefs choice.
I’m always down for that.
The chef served a generous portion of beautifully pan seared tofu, about half a block, that had a nice crust and sort of a sweet and sour thing going on over a delicious bed of finely diced crispy cooked vegetable medley that had beans, carrots, asparagus, mushrooms and two or three other veggies that I couldn’t make out because of the fine dice. Taking up about a third of the dish was an expertly steamed side of broccoli that had some delicious savory sauce or broth. Every component of this dish was bursting with flavor. The best part was that finally 🥳 there was enough food. Unless it’s a predominantly veggie restaurant the chefs don’t realize that vegans need larger portions due to the lack of the animal protein. A cute little side of broccoli or a little thimble of rice is nothing for me. Josh really piled the veggies on and every bite was loaded with flavor. I was so surprised to find that I couldn’t finish all of my food, but my only vegan at home husband had no problem polishing it off and he loved it!
Our server Michelle was super friendly and the service was excellent!

Chef’s Special vegan dish was really good

I checked out the menu in advance of our visit.  On the menu is a vegan or vegetarian option - chef special for $23.  The option tonight was tofu, pan, fried with a breading of cornstarch. Served with stirfried vegetables  in a ginger soy sauce. Topped with a half an avocado.  Presentation was great and I really enjoyed my meal.

Server was attentive and not over bearing.

Pros: Vegan and vegetarian options always available , Pleasant staff, Check out the glass light fixtures in the entry!

Cons: Usually only 1 vegan option
