This was a five star meal. We had the vegan tasting menu and left stuffed. The dessert was the star of the show.
Read morePrevious reviews said it is a little pricey, it was still more than I was expecting at 13,000 Icelandic Króna (approx $95) per person and our one cocktail was $20 but it was a great experience, food was delicious, lovely ambiance, and the service was perfect.

I’ve dined at monkeys twice and the food was brilliant. They have a vegan tasting menu (it’s a lot of food) and plenty of other options. My favorites are the watermelon carpaccio and the miso steak. This is a really nice place and the service is super good. It’s rather pricy but perfect for a special occasion.

I had a steak from sesame seeds, nuts, sweet potatoes and celeriac, served with corn salsa, yuzu mayo, sweet potato purée, salad, miso potato chips and chili mayo. All the flavours went well together!

Big fan of this place. They have a lot of vegan options. It's on the pricey side, but it's Reykjavik after all, and I'd say the food is worth it. The decor is very nice and the staff is lovely too. Not to mention they have great mocktails!
