A Must-Try Vegan Delight on Wheels!

I stumbled upon Monkey Munch on a vegan food festival in lucerne and couldn’t have been happier! The menu is full of exciting, plant-based options that will satisfy anyone, vegan or not.

I tried the chick free burger and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, vibrant, and seasoned to perfection. The portions are generous, and the pricing is spot-on for the quality and thought put into each dish. The staff was warm and welcoming, clearly passionate about what they do, which made the experience even better. Definitely recommend!

Above Average for Europe - but BDS!

There's three main parts to this review.

The first is that they use and proudly advertise that they use plant based protein from the Israeli company Redefine Meat. I know not everyone on here will agree, but as someone who has been BDSing against Israel since 2016, this is a total no go. Wouldn't have ordered from them if I noticed this earlier but I didn't until after I placed my order. Free Palestine!

The second is the burger itself. I got the chicken burger. Patty itself was a standard vegan chicken burger - nothing overly special. It was topped with a coleslaw and.. Hmm. A sauce? It was good, but.. Just good. All the flavours blended together. I added a sauce onto it later and it made it 1000% better. Like with the sauce it was the chicken burger it should have been.

Third is that the truck is very professional and beautiful.

Overall, I'd avoid it next time for the fact it supports Israel however inadvertently. Food was good, but not great enough for me to encourage anyone to turn a blind eye.
