Delicious and Unique Vegan Options and a Monthly Plant-based International Tasting Dinner

Mondano is a hidden gem in Northeastern PA for vegans. Many choices on the menu, even items that can be made vegan.

We love the monthly plant-based international tasting. There are five courses from five countries for only $39! Mondano's chef makes the most unique and delicious dishes. The menu changes every month, too. So good!

Compliant menu

For those that are on a heart, healthy diet you found the right location. The chef is well trained, very creative and a graduate of the Cornell plant based program. He’s very conscious not to use sugar, oil or fats in a very creative menu.Will accommodate any dietary restrictions. You normally need to go to NY to find this quality of food. Absolutely the best I have encountered.

Great place with many vegan options

The chef “gets it,” in that he understands vegan and has certification in whole food plant based cooking. Several options are natively vegan (V) others can be made vegan by request. (VR).

Whole food plant based can be accommodated, just tell waiter what you want. I had a schnitzel made of seitan. I had the romanesca as an appetizer with crudite of local vegetables. Fruit for dessert with some “cream,” made from lentils.

We had a great conversation with chef and so great hear his enthusiasm for cooking plant based. It is obvious that everything made is thoughtfully prepared.

I forgot to take any pictures! next time, which will be soon, I’m going for the plant-based tasting event Aug 25 (see attached)and for my birthday in September.
