Mona Pinkerton

If you're a guiri tourist don't doubt on coming and trying the vegan version of this traditional dish from Madrid where you're suppoused to est it: near Plaza Mayor. Trust me it doesn't have to envy a anything to the one containing animal suffering. at their menu it is called Lady Pirata.

Aunque no viene precisamente en una baguette si no en un mollete, a mi gusto mejor aún, este bocata de calamares no tiene nada que envidiar al que contiene sufrimiento animal. Animaos a volver a comer calamares cerca de donde se supone que tiene que unx a tomárselos: la Plaza Mayor. En carta se llama Lady Pirata y viene acompañado con un poco de hummus a parte, para dentro del bocata se le puede echar kilos de veganesa casera digna de buen gordivegan.

El local es un sitio curioso en el que hacen eventos artísticos de vez en cuando y que cuenta con una barra como principal elemento para poder tomar unas cañas y unas tapas, muy esencia de La Latina. Como pincho con la caña me pusieron un poquito de tortilla vegana con la cual están todavía experimentando pero que sin duda van por el buen camino.

En resumen si andáis por la zona acercaos a conocer Mona Pinkerton y aunque sea saludar la gente que trabaja allí que tiene muchas ganas de sacar este proyecto adelante!!

Un sitio muy acogedor, comida rica y a buen precio, el servicio muy atento y amable, y teniendo en cuenta las intolerancias alimentarias que les indicamos.

The food in this place is absolutely delicious. They have everything an average spaniard would eat in any "bar" in vegan version. The salads are fantastic and in general the prices are very good for the quality. The vibe inside the place is charming, they are always super worried about clients having everything in order and the service is perfect.
Also the location saves the day, its one of the few vegan places you have in La Latina neighborhood. ITs definitely a MUST.
