Happy Vegan in Antwerp - Edit
I just arrived hungry and was trying to locate a place close to me so I chose MoMu Café. The tomato soup was hearty, the spinach and cheese sandwich was crisp and the cinnamon roll was a sweet ending to this deliciously vegan/plant based meal.

Ich wollte unbedingt dahin da es Vegan ist. Als wir angekommen sind war es nicht gerade sauber (auf den Tischen waren noch Krümel und Getränke flecken). Als wir was bestellen wollten war so gut wie alles ausverkauft und es war gerade mal 15 Uhr. Das einigste was übrig war, war eine angebrannte Zimtschnecke, zwei Schoko-Muffins und ein Gluten freier Brownie. Ich habe den Brownie genommen und war sehr enttäuscht. Er war sehr süß und sehr klebrig und teuer für seine große. Sehr schade.

All food is vegan while it doesn't say so on the menu. I like this kind of "normal" turned around (plants, not dead animals, as a default). The food tastes very good. Coffee is perfect and the scenery is exquisite.
Read moreThat being said, the portions are on the small side. The salad bowl is not filled to the top; it is however being weighted on a scale - which seems to me a very petty thing to do. Do you want to serve good food and let people leave with their bellies full of love or do you want to make the most profit you can squeeze out of it...? Quite expensive compared to the portions.

Read moreThere's tasty options for everyone, meals to snacks, savoury to sweet. Amazing!! I had the Puff Pastry for 8€, it's actually really filling! Its an oily pastry with potatoes and peas inside, sesame on top and a sweet mango sauce on the side. Perfect match!

Good lunch food, but pricey - Edit
We had a lunch here, even without visiting the Museum and was definitely good. We shared with two the day dish (dahl), a large salad (mix of 4) and a stuffed pastry. The taste of all was good, also nice salad variety. However the portions were a bit on the small side, especially given the price, we were happy to also have ordered several dishes.

Had a quick lunch @ momu café and ordered a (hot) quiche and a Mediterranean sandwich. The quiche had a nice qrunchy puff pastry and was topped with different kind of vegetables. Not only nice to eat but also nice to see. The Mediterranean sandwich looked a bit boring on the outside, but the taste was outstanding! The combination of pesto, sundried tomato, olives and ricotte like vegan cheese gives you a rich and colorfull palette of flavours!

Dit hoort bij het museum ernaast. Ligt een beetje uit het centrum, maar de kwaliteit is echt goed! De chocolade koekjes waren favoriet en de tomatensoep was ook zeer lekker. Helaas was er om 15:30 uur al best veel uitverkocht.
