Amazing wholesome food - Edit
Beautiful little taverna style restaurant down the alley with lots of lovely looking places. Loads and loads of clearly labelled vegan options on the menu as well as a vegan section. I had the baked ‘feta’ and then the vegan gyros plate. After tolerating the food in our all inclusive resort for a few days, this tasted like the best food I’ve ever had. Truly delicious and the staff were lovely. Reasonably priced too. I would eat here every night if I could.

Read moreI chose the gyros as friends had raved about the meat versions but I'd never told a vegan option. Absolutely delicious. Sorry no photo of the dish but I was hungry and forgot. 🤦🏻♀️ Plenty of other options as well. I did remember to take photos of the menu. 😁 Enjoy!!

We went on a Saturday night without a reservation. They tried to fit us in but we had to wait 15 minutes, then sit somewhere in order to switch tables later. The stuff was polite and helpful but it was really packed. Many people walk by and many people wait for a table.
Read moreWe ordered the vegan giouvetsi, grilled vegetables and zucchini balls. The giouvetsi and the zucchini balls were very good, the grilled vegetables were a bit raw, and we had to wait long to get our food. The prices were okay, much better than other places nearby. The stuff was nice but as I said very busy place.

Absolutely incredible food and staff. Family of 9, fit us in with no reservation. Food was incredible. 3 vegans, 1 veggie and meat eaters and everyone was very impressed with food, the vegan options are some of the best we have seen on the island. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and we will definitely be returning before our holiday is over! Thank you all at Mom’s kitchen! ❤️ I would give 5 stars if it let me but because it’s not 100% vegan I can only give 4 stars!😒

Great people, bad mousaka - Edit
The people are great. They understand veganism. We saw all the reviews and could not wait to go eat there. We ordered the garlic bread wich was great. We went for the mousaka as the main. I was so hopefull because of the reviews. It might have been a miss day but the mousaka was so bad. It was just plain potato, no eggplant to be seen, and it didn’t taste anything like mousaka. They took the feedback very well. Hopefully the other dishes are better, as it seemed like the vegan gem in Kos.

We went to this restaurant three times during our holiday, as there are so many options for vegans. There's a full page on the menu dedicated to vegan food, with alternative gyros, baked "feta", and other typical Greek specialties in a plant based version. We tried almost everything on the menu, and the Pasta arrabbiata with meatless balls is amazing.

Lovely Greek restaurant with outdoor seating and a specific vegan section on the menu. Me & my Husband shared hummus & pitta bread to start, which was delicious, and we each had a vegan Gyros plate for main, which was tasty. Staff were friendly & helpful & was a nice atmosphere there. Was perfect for our group too, which had a mix of vegan, vegetarian, meat eaters & gluten free eaters. Would highly recommend I'd you're visiting Kos town!

In an all inclusive resort with no vegan menu and desperate for some vegan food? Come to Mom's Kitchen. We had the Gyros which was divine!!! Hope to return to try all the other vegan options ! Delicious and such a lovely little place. Super service. Highly recommend!

Found this little gem through Happy Cow. Its staff were very friendly and informative about the vegan options they provide. So much so that I eat there a number of times during my stay. I have tried the vegan pitta with was fantastic, I also shared the Vegan Meze pictured on this post was delicious and filling for tow of us, I would also recommend the Hummus (it was the best I have ever had) with some pitta bread but you defiantly must try the vegan moussaka (also pictured). It was incredible, full of flavour. It’s also made from scratch so there is a 30 minute wait but it’s worth it. The atmosphere was lovely and it was a great place to relax with a nice glass of wine and talk while the world went by… Can recommend this place enough.

Vor allem das Mousaka war wirklich wirklich ein Highlight.
Der Feta war ok. Ich persönlich würde ihn nicht wieder bestellen. Wir hatten auch noch Garlic Bread also Vorspeise, das schön knusprig und nicht fettig war und aus vier Scheiben eines Baguettes bestand.

Really really pleasant and nice service. Not to expensive, but they have a lot of vegan options, which were ALL really delicious. I think on our vacation we went there like 4-5 times, because it was this good.

Last night I had the best vegan Greek food I’ve ever had in any of the 8 islands I’ve visited: the vegan moussaka. Only 10 €, they make it from scratch (took about 30 minutes but we were informed about it beforehand) and serve it in the little ceramic pot. It was mouthwateringly delicious, I will definitely go again on this trip. It wasn’t too busy at 8PM.

I tried a few different Gyros on my visit from Kos. Not sure if they all served the same type of Gyros meat or not but was still good to be able to have it in Greece!

Vegan Options That Don’t Disappoint! - Edit
Friendly service and delicious vegan options. Vegan gyro is good as are the meatless meatballs. Some of the items on the vegan section are vegetarian but there are enough options to keep you going. Mom’s Kitchen is always my go to in Kos Town. It’s not always easy to find a vegan meal other than the usual tomato and cucumber salad, chips, hummus etc. definitely worth a visit!
