Very good vegan food - Edit
We had crispy spring rolls and vietnamese pancake.

Lecker! Punkt ;-) - Edit

tasty but - Edit
my favourites are tempeh skewers, traditional food plate and banh xeo which you both roll into the rice paper and dip into sauces. hoi an chicken tastes good and the juices but all of the portions are kind of small, there is too little protein so tofu/ soy/ seitan are rather in traces😄yet the prices are kind of high.

So delicious!!! - Edit
Everything we ordered was so delicious! It’s all made by a wonderful couple. You are stepping into someone’s home and having a home cooked meal made with love.
Read moreJust a note: it was hard for us to find them since our grab driver dropped us off on the other side and made us walk through narrow roads. If you take a grab or taxi have them drop you off at a place called mercury beach house. Then cross the street and go through a narrow road / alley. Walk straight through and you will see Chickpea on the right hand side.

This is just...different! - Edit
If you are looking for an authentic, genuine and out of the ordinary experience, this is the place for you. The restaurant is located in an alley, and when you enter you immediately realize that it is a place different from the ordinary: it feels like entering a house. There is both an outdoor terrace and tables inside. Everything is special here: home cooking, informal service, you sit on the floor (some might find it uncomfortable). Typical Vietnamese food, good and tasty, at affordable prices. In short, if you are looking for a "classic" restaurant this is not the right place, but if you want a more intimate and genuine experience, then yes.

Hidden gem - Edit
A little difficult to find as it is down an alleyway but good traditional vegan food with good options. Price is quite inexpensive except for the cheeses. The first time I went I got the my Quang noodles, bao and bun cha which were all good. Bao was really good. I came back again and got Banh xeo which was also good. Would definitely come back and try more foods. It is run by a family, literally out of their house, so very personal and they can make modifications on the spot.

Wow! - Edit
Loved this place. Described as a vegan home that opened their doors to invite the public to experience their food, it was a lovely environment. Some tables with floor seating and some outdoor tables near a koi pond, such lovely vibes. Food was excellent too.
Read moreI had the bao and the Vietnamese pancake, my friend had the vegan burger and fries. The bao were easily the best I’ve ever had, soft and squishy, they looked like marshmallows and the fillings were delicious. The pancake was incredible, looked so much like an omelette, it blew me away. The burger looked good, the fries were like 5 big chunky chips, I think from sweet potato. Something a bit different to a plate of French Fries.
They also have a location in Hoi An and offer cooking classes for 1 mil VND which I am tempted by.
You must go here for food!

Hands down the best place we've been to in Vietnam. Everything we took was delicious. Be sure to try the Golden Mylk. It's a sweet ginger and turmeric drink that rejuvenates you like nothing else.

Cooking workshop @chickpea eatery - Edit
I am an Amsterdam based chef and recipe developer. During my holidays Chickpea eatery organized a private cooking workshop learning me to make vegan pho, papaya salad and braised eggplant. It was a wonderful experience. They shared a lot of knowledge and even a very wel tested family recipe. I would very much recommend the chickpea eatery for cooking classes. Wonderfull friendly people!
