Great vegan bahn mi

All the vegans enjoyed the vegan bahn mi. Our meat-eater was very happy as well.
Authentic Vietnamese food.
Sweet, spicy and savory.

Pros: Nice staff, Great food - for vegan option

Great Banh Mi

Clearly marked vegan Banh Mi, better than the vegan one from Lee in my opinion. Super friendly staff. They also offer a bowl.

A Fancier Vegan Banh Mi

What interested me was their Vegan Banh Mi, which contained shredded tofu, yams, taro, mushrooms, jicama, and the usual carrots and daikon, cilantro, and jalapeños. While the default selection is served on ciabatta, you can substitute it for a baguette. I was hoping the garlic aioli spread they served with the Vegetarian Banh Mi would have been vegan - something I think they could easily do for the future.

Out of any vegan (or accidentally vegan in most cases) Banh Mi that I could ever order, this was probably going to be one of the best! Great flavor and diversity of ingredients inside my long sandwich, and swapping out for the baguette reminded me that Viet sandwiches are simply the best. Like I mentioned above, the lack of a vegan friendly spread was disappointing. Had they included some form of vegan mayo, pate, or mashed avocado to compliment the veggies, this would have been perfect.

Although the sandwich was delicious, I can't help but point out that you are ordering and paying for a bougie Banh Mi. The $11 price is not something to ignore when most local shops offer them for $6. My vegan selection ended up being really delicious and I loved that it included a larger variety of plant based goodness than most other shops would have offered.

Pros: Loaded veggies in vegan banh mi

Cons: Pricy, Lack of vegan spread
