One option for vegans, tohu udon. Food was delicious, scenery was great and staff very friendly. Outdoor seating with shade next to koi pond. Next to the walk route to the ropeway.

Went there on a Friday around 1 pm. It was closed and looked like it had been closed for a while. Couldn't find the opening times anywhere.

Such a wonderful experience - Edit
We loved this place so much that we visited 2 Times the same day. It's Just so wonderful to eat here when the weather is nice. We drank some tea here first. The outside area is really nice, there is an area with traditional seating places surrounded by trees and with waterfall sounds from the Koi pond next to it. We came back after visiting mount misen and had the Curry, which was the best food after the Long hike to the top. The food was delicious and cheap and i really fell in love with this place.

Vegan option near the ropeway - Edit
Place to eat with 2 vegetarian a 1 vegan plates. I liked the vegan dish I ate, it was a noodle soup mainly with algae and tofu. It's super near the ropeway to go to the minsen obserbatory

We experienced there was a number of restaurants reported as open that were actually closed on the day of our intended visit. That was the case for Momiji-so today, unfortunately. So disappointing 😢

Had the only vegan option which was a tofu udon bowl. Pretty standard but also quite nice and was satisfying to eat on a cold winters day.

We had the vegetable and tofu udon and the vegetable curry. Both were amazing and full of flavour. Perfect meal post Mt Misen climb. Plenty of outdoor seating in beautiful surroundings. A must visit when on true island, especially to get some respite from the tour crowds. Owner are super friendly and go well out of their way to accommodate

If You’re Vegan/Veg, GO! - Edit
We stopped here on our way to the ropeway station. The couple who ran it were super helpful and showed us all the vegan options. There is outdoor and indoor seating these days. The vegan ramen was delicious with a few options to choose from. Definitely hold out from the town shops and come here instead!!

Refreshing meal after going up Mt. Misen - Edit
Our family ate hear after going up to the top. The owner was very friendly and the food was awesome. He understood vegan, perhaps due to the Buddhist nature of the sacred island.
