We had the tofu with mushrooms, tofu with tomatoes and garlic french fries. The 2 tofu options came with rice, the french fries with ketchup

Welcoming staff who understand what veganism is, they changed the fried veg spring rolls to tofu instead of egg. Really recommend the aubergine curry. Price is great too. A free piece of fruit at the end is very kind.

Read moreI had the eggplant curry (coconut milk based with eggplant &potatoes) with rice noodles (I requested this instead of rice) and grilled tofu.
They are willing to veganise some dishes like the vegetable fried rice (remove the egg)

Amazing Hotpot with Tofu - Edit
Dinner at this place was great! We had the Tofu & Vegetable Hotpot. The broth was fantastic and all vegetables very fresh. As dessert passion fruit was served. The staff couldn’t have been more lovely. She explained how and when to eat which ingredient and told us a lot about how vegetables are farmed near Sapa.

The tofu was really tasty, you don’t get a big amount of rice with it like in other places but it is just about enough. The staff is really attentive and serve really well. I went there twice already during my stay in Sa Pa.

Upon arriving we asked for a Rice Wine. They warned us it was strong and instead gave us a free tasting platter of some different wines. We chose the Plum Wine. The food was delicious, we ended up ordering seconds of the Grilled Tofu. We got free watermelon at the end! 🍉

Bac was very accommodating for vegan options. She speaks very good English and can make anything you ask for really. We liked to sit upstairs. Nice atmosphere and very good food!

Really enjoyed our meal here, understood vegan and was able to make a meal for us (I had fried tofu as a burger indeed of the meat) only off putting thing was a tank with fish in it outside but I suppose if more vegans come and pick those options then that will make the market more vegan and less demand for the fish 🤞

Best vegan option in Sapa! - Edit
I tried a few of the places in Sapa on Happy Cow and this is hands down the best one. The staff know exactly what vegan is and ran me through the menu showing me the numerous options. Can recommend the veggie pho and spring roles!!! It was super flavourful, fresh and cheap.

I got the fried tofu and instead of mushrooms I asked for a mixed veg, which they were able to accommodate. It came with rice and a bit of fruit for dessert and cost 60,000 total. The cost to quality ratio was quite good. I enjoyed the meal overall, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, speaking good English. They told me that the meat is cooked separately from the vegetarian food.

We ordered the grilled tofu, greens and mushrooms and rice to share. The tofu was so caramelly, sticky and delicious and came on a sizzling plate. The greens were lovely and fresh with lots of garlic. A bit cheaper than the other restaurant on the road and has a more extensive vegetarian section which is mostly vegan friendly. The staff are really friendly and speak good English.
