Nice coffee shop

This is really friendly coffee shop right on the beach in Stonehaven. Seats outside for nice days. There were a few vegan options on the menu for lunch but I wasn’t too hungry so just went for the hummus and flatbread starter. There was quite a lot and it was the nicest creamiest hummus I’ve ever had. The staff were so lovely and helpful and it had a really nice atmosphere.

Not vegan friendly

I personally don’t rate Mollys for breakfast if you’re vegan. On one visit I asked what they had vegan on the menu (I wanted to make sure the veggie options were also vegan before ordering) & the waitress obviously couldn’t be bothered so told me “nothing”. I just had a tea with soya milk. On a second visit, I was told by the server they could do me a vegan breakfast but basically they just removed half the ingredients & left me with sausage, beans, hash browns & toast (didn’t even get mushrooms & tomato which would have been the obvious choices) but they still charged the full price plus they gave me butter for my toast which obviously isn’t vegan so I had to leave it & have dry toast! I’ve also asked about their cakes to be told they don’t have any vegan cakes at all. The only plant milk they provide is soya.

Pros: Nice venue on the beachfront

Cons: Very limited breakfast choice, No vegan cakes at all, Staff are not accommodating to vegan requests

Very nice vegan Scottish breakfast

Vegetarian Breakfast can be easily made vegan, just ask to leave off the eggs. Staff is very accommodating.
