We were only able to go here once during our Maui trip, but I wish we could have gone more! Their menu is super creative and I wanted to try just about everything.

Interesting - Edit
They were vegan all right and had several options. Nothing children would like as the taros were spicy. The smoothies are bland and they sold out when we bought 3. One person in our party liked the pineapple rice, and the falafel was good. They have leaves for to go food but if you want to take your salad you have to buy a metal tin for 10 dollars and if you return they’ll give your money back, but who can do this as a tourist? We left pretty hungry despite getting a lot of food…. Novel idea but missing the mark on quality.
Read morePros: Vegan and eco friendly , Accessibility , Decently priced
Cons: Not enough options for children , Too rigid on their menu, Food is missing the mark and way too spicy

We visited in 2020 and I was thrilled to see they're still here! So many great restaurants were lost to the pandemic... Had the faux chorizo burrito and it was stellar.

I really love the concept and vibe of this place. Healthy, mostly vegan, zero waste, woman-owned, etc. It's definitely a business I feel super great about supporting. In terms of food, the standouts were definitely the pineapple rice and cookies. The curry, burger, and falafel wrap were just okay, in my opnion. I think they could work on the depth of flavor. Also, I was not a fan of the taro burger patty and falafel textures. Kind of mushy. That being said, I would 100% definitely visit again for the pineapple rice and to try the other dishes.

Kids loved the avocado toast! - Edit
Everyone was happy with their food and prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants. Excellent preparation of vegetables to create healthy and appealing dishes. Of note the green papaya salad bears little resemblance to the traditional Thai version or other vegan versions — the Moku Roots version is good but very different.

Pretty bad - Edit
Hey you guys, I wish I could have had the experience everyone else seems to be raving about. I’ve even been here multiple times hoping it was just a bad day for the staff, but the food here is downright bland
Read moreI ordered a pineapple rice, it did not look fresh, the rice had absolutely no flavour, and the taro patty was not a nice texture. I had a buffalo cauliflower wrap a few weeks later, again absolutely no flavour. This time I got the loaded fries, and guess what, no flavour on anything ??
So disappointed, really wanted to like this place. Is it really 0 waste if I’m throwing most of my meal out every time? Maybe you guys cater to people with different taste buds.
Pros: No vaccine required
Cons: Flavour of the food, Inconsistent with taste, Price

Taro patties, yum! - Edit
You have to try the taro burger just once, it's worth it! My husband loves the hot sauce, and the pickles are the bomb. Servings are huge, super chill atmosphere in the evening, gluten free options available. Remember to bring take home bags or Tupperware, although it's fun to wrap up leftovers in Ti leaves. No reservations needed.

Wow!!!!! - Edit
I will not be able to say enough good things about this place! It's a woman owned, 95% Vegan (has a little honey and one dish with eggs), zero waste, amazing restaurant! The workers were all very friendly, the food was out of this world with freshness and the flavors were beyond anything I can describe. We ate here every single day plus took food to-go. We tried almost half the menu and we have not one thing to complaint about. If I had to find one complaint it would be I don't have one of these places in my hometown!

Overpriced and GRASS IN THE FOOD?!? - Edit
They were nice, and the food tasted ok…but we found literal grass (like on your lawn) in the food. Bus boy said it was probably kale. When questioned again with a blade of grass in hand, he said it was arugula. I asked the woman who rung us up and she said that grass is commonly found in their herbs and microgreens. $17 for them to not inspect their produce?

Mediocre - Edit
I actually came here twice hoping that the first time was a fluke. Unfortunately their food just isn’t that good. With a ton of menu options I bet their food would taste better if they trimmed their menu down and really focused on what they were serving. Also this is NOT an all vegan restaurant.
