Fabulous and lots of it! - Edit

Whatever you do... make sure you’re hungry when you go here as they feed you very well. They had a separate vegan menu, I had Chickpea and mango salad (bowl made of poppadum) followed by Vegetable vindaloo (this was more of a madras heat and made with coconut on top). It came with a tandoori roti and rice and I couldn’t move when I was finished! My husband had veg pakoras followed by chickpea masala. He preferred my main dish but his starter. We are here for another few days so we are going back! Fantastic!

Pros: lots of food, tastes amazing!

Delicious vegan food in a non-vegan-friendly city! - Edit

Moksha Indian Bistro was a wonderful restaurant to eat at in Niagara Falls, especially given that Niagara Falls is dominated by gross steakhouses and chains.

They have a separate vegan menu with about a dozen appetizers and a dozen main courses. They also have a couple vegan dessert options.

I got the Methi aloo (fenugreek leaves and potato in curry), and my boyfriend got the mixed vegetable jhal frazi. Both meals were served with rice, roti, and a papadum cone. We also shared the mango salad as an appetizer. Everything had really nice unique flavors!

I would definitely recommend Moksha Indian Bistro to anyone visiting Niagara Falls. The food was great, the ambiance was nice, it's located close to the touristy things downtown, and the service was friendly.

Super Satisfying - Edit

I was thrilled to find out this place had a variety of vegan options in what seems to be a not so friendly vegan town! Service was great. Food was fabulous. The interior was modern done in a wonderful way. Would definitely recommend to vegans when in Niagara, super satisfying and delicious! Oh and make sure you order the mango salad, delicious!!!

Great Experience - Edit

Visiting the city for business and was pleasantly surprised to find this venue. Not as many vegan options as I'd like - but the Chana masala did the job - made fresh and with warm Roti, it was a great meal. Staff here are very pleasant, the interior is fresh and well maintained. Nice mix of music: from Top 40 to Punjabi Bhangra!

Pros: Tasty, Quick, Pleasant Staff

Cons: not as many vegan options

Excellent vegan place - Edit

Has a separate vegetarian menu with vegan dishes marked, happy to work in and amend dishes. Excellent service, food was great from the peanut shooters, mango salads and currys, everything was tasty. Dishes normally come with naan bread, but server suggested swapping to roti as that was vegan, showed good knowledge. Theres not a lot of vegan choices in the area, this was a high quality life saver. Really should get a 5 for catering so well to vegans, but happy cow wont allow it.

Vegan menu in a non-vegan tourist town! - Edit

Niagra Falls is extremely touristy which means you're surrounded by greasy pizza, burger, and steak places everywhere you turn. Our maitre d' suggested Moksha and we got excited when they pulled out a separate vegan menu. Everything was yummy-we had the mango salad which was very unique, muligatawny soup, dahl, and an eggplant dish. Ask for some tamarind sauce to add another layer of flavor to the dishes. We've had a lot of Indian food before and this was definitely worthy of a repeat. Unlike the previous reviewer, nothing we ordered was spicy.

Amazing Indian Food with a twist! - Edit

My wife and I had dinner there last night. The decor looks new and the place is very different from the many Indian restaurants that we are used a very good way. The presentation of the food was creative and really good. I had the peanut shooters for appetizer and it was awesome. A bit spicier than my wife liked but perfect for me. The server was very attentive and brought us the vegan menu when he found out I was vegan. He did warn me that the food was very spicy and boy was he right! For all but those who like "burn your tonsils" spicy stuff, you should ask to tone down the spice. The Chana Masala was excellent but the Vindaloo was just too spicy for me. The server said that I should get Roti instead of Naan because the Naan was not vegan. The Roti was excellent. I was looking forward to trying dessert but they were out of the only vegan option. My wife really enjoyed the ice cream sampler. Overall an excellent restaurant that is a very nice break from the typical deep fried Indian foods that are so often served in the US.

Pros: Vegan menu with delicious choices, Great atmosphere and decor, Excellent service

Cons: Didn't have all the vegan items on the m, Extremely spicy for most people
