Tasty asian fusion food

Needed a place to stop for lunch in Trakai, and felt really lucky of stopping in this beautiful and cozy café-restaurant. The staff was super nice! They have some vegan options, I got the spring rolls to start and a main dish of noodles, spinach, vegetables and smoked tofu (Himalaya noodles). Both were incredibly tasty 😋

Extra: Also ordered dessert of banana in some kind of tempura with vegan ice cream, delicious!

DIY and cosy

Staff was friendly and spoke English.
Menu was available in English (you have to flip through the first couple of Lithuanian pages until you get there).
Interior is very cosy and comfortable.
Various vegan options, make sure to specify. Not clearly labeled on the menu but staff seems knowledgeable.
I had the Himalaya Express with rice and tofu which was delicious.
They serve various drinks, including self-made kombuchas. I had the pineapple one which tasted well.

Good

Mojo cafe is probably the only place in Trakai that has many vegan options. Main dishes are mostly asian style noodles and rice. Portions are really big. Staff was very friendly and knew which dishes are vegan and can be veganized. It was possible to customize dishes as well. I was able to have Nasi goreng split into steamed rice, pan fried tofu with peanut sauce and pan fried veggies on the side. Other dishes that we had were Pao noodles and Himalayan express. Everything tasted good!

Flavourful and filling

The decor of this place has a lot of mixed styles which makes it a fun environment and the food there was very delicious and seasoned well. You have to ask for them to modify the dishes (soups or noodles) to be vegan though.

Pros: Big portion sizes , Only vegan friendly place in Trakai, Nice staff

Cons: Vegan dishes only on request , Not cheap

So sour!

I don't know what they did to the food, but it was so sour no other taste was perceptible... For the price it's definitely not worth it.

Flavour Explosion

We needed to warm up after a morning skating around on the frozen lakes at Trakai. Mojo was absolutely spot on in that regard! After a couple of hot sangrias, we ordered spring rolls, Malaysian Laksa and the Ramen noodles with dumplings. The waitress was happy to ensure everything was veganized for us, and when the food came - OMG! The Laksa was an explosion of flavour, and there was just SO much of it! Really filling and delicious, very authentic tasting! It’s a great location too, on the main road from the bus station to the castle so you can’t miss it!
