The owner is so rude and aggressive it makes me not want to go in. I've seen her bullying her staff and she's very rude to customers in the cafe and online. She makes no secret of the fact she doesn't particularly care about animals and has little respect for vegans other than as a source of profit. The food is passable but nothing special. Much better options available for vegans nearby.

The last couple of times I have been into Mogs I have felt so uncomfortable in there.

We decided to put our last visit down to just a bad day, after all we are only human and went again today for some lunch.

Today I left the shop upset and horrified. We made our food order. I asked for a cup of tea, they don’t do hot drinks anymore so I asked for a tap water. The man in there asked the woman how much and she said £1 and I queried if tap water could be charged. The woman, with such an aggressive attitude grunted at me to the jist of ‘ fine then’. I may have been wrong in my query about the tap water, my point is more about how aggressive she was. The other staff didn’t seem to blink an eye lid at this aggressiveness so I assume are used to it or intimidated themselves.

I decided I wasn’t comfortable and called to my husband to leave, by which she said in an aggressive sarcastic tone ‘ see ya then’. I’ve not experienced anything like it. I didn’t rise to the aggression and just walked out, but I got the sense she was goading me. It’s a really shame because I do believe humanity on the whole is kind. This is why I tried again.

We won’t be going again.
