Pizzzzzzaaaa

Very happy. We are always looking for more plant based options and we were thrilled. Pre-plant-based, we ate pizza like once a week. Thus, our pizza expectations are very high. Mod did not disappoint.

Pros: VEGAN CHEEZE!!

Friendly Staff, Great Experience

I would say that Mod Pizza is a similar experience as going to a Subway Sandwich place. They charge one price for the pizza regardless of what toppings and sauces you get. You get the pizza crust, (2 sizes, the 11" can be thin or thick plus a 6"), which is vegan and choose a sauce. Similar to Subway, they create the pizza for you. Once you choose the sauce, you then pick what toppings you want and you choose the cheese that you want and then you take a seat while you wait for the pizza to cook. The salads are similar procedure, however we did not get a salad or a side. (Not sure if any of the 3 side choices are vegan). We informed the staff that we are vegan and they were so friendly and helpful. Just interacting with them was a fun and pleasant experience.

The atmosphere is that of a fast food restaurant, where you order your food and then choose a table and eat. There is no waiter or waitress type service. However, it was pleasant and quite friendly.

The pizza was pretty good, they use Daiya cheese for the vegan cheese, which in my opinion is yummy. They have many toppings to choose from, including roasted garlic, artichoke, green or black olives, fresh basil, fresh spinach just to name a few. They do not have any vegan protein such as sausage or pepperoni, so it's basically only veggies for toppings.

The pizza was ready quite quickly, it's a thin crust and even though it was cooked very quickly the veggies were well done, just right. The only complaint I have is that the outer crust was a little bit burned. It did not detract from the actual pizza, but the outer crust was not as good as could have been. We were also given a dipping sauce, I chose the red sauce and my partner chose the spicy sauce, which was quite spicy.

They had two types of wine, which are in cans (red wine and a chardonnay), and two draft beer choices and a couple of bottled beer choices. I chose the red wine, which was decent, I am not a big wine drinker so I can't say that it was excellent, but I enjoyed it. My partner had one of the draft beers and he enjoyed it also.

Over all a very good experience, and I will definitely be going back.

Pros: It's quick and convenient. Nice vibe, Friendly helpful staff, filling, good value,, It's vegan pizza, in a restaurant!!!!!

Cons: Hopefully the burning of the crust isn't the norm., Limited menu: pizza, salad (maybe sides, not sure), No vegan protein choices.
