Vegans steer clear

I ordered pickup and was ignored by the gentleman working in there. Forced to open every drawer/cabinet on the condiments table to find silverware because it wasn’t out on top. The wraps we got had a dab of hummus, one or two pieces of potato and the rest was this stock chili sauce and salad. The fruit we got had past due pineapple that I had to throw out. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone

Nicely done

Hubs and I had vegan biscuits and gravy. YUM! Took a vegan cinnamon roll for the road. I have no doubt it will be awesome!

Overrated

They got my order wrong twice and it took about 20 minutes each time who has time for that when I did finally get it it wasn't even that good.

Pros: Looks nice, Nothing, Nothing

Mushroom BBQ

Love their Mushroom BBQ sandwich. They also have a great vegan quiche, but under current conditions will probably need to buy a whole quiche and order ahead.

Pros: Vegan Options, Online ordering

Cons: Limited menu due to pandemic, Vegan options may be inconsistent

Great vegan bread/pastries/desserts

Breakfast potatoes, cinnamon buns, cookies, and bagels are delicious. Love the jalapeno bagel. Cinnamon buns are much larger the picture shown on the website (shareable portion). All bagels are vegan unless dairy cream cheese is requested by customer. Most menu items are marked well so you know which items are vegan.

Few lunch choices

Read other reviews and was looking forward to eating lunch. I don’t know what choices other reviewers saw.
Go for the pastries. Easy parking.

Cons: One vegan wrap choice, Check if you want soup, may not have

Five Star : )

Happy Cow will only allow a five star for fully vegan and vegetarian restaurants, BUT it is a big deal to have a restaurant offering yummy vegan options in southwest Virginia!

Their delicious vegan cookies are going to make me gain a few pounds : ) they also have a vegan wrap and cinnamon rolls!

Vegan treats galore!

I typically eat pretty healthy, but sometimes I just want a pastry. Or a slice of pie. Or a macaroon. When the craving hits, I know I can count on Mockingbird Cafe. We stopped by today and tried their homemade (all vegan) raspberry poptart, chocolate donut, and blackberry lemon muffin. Everything was so incredibly delicious. The cafe is small and quaint with a few tables outside. There is a parking lot on the corner of Main and Franklin, in front of the antique shop.

Pros: Lots of vegan treats at a very reasonable price.

great for vegans!

It was very inexpensive, and lots of vegan options (you just have to ask because they aren’t all marked). Staff was friendly and welcoming.

If this little place is even close to your route, stop and give it a try!

I literally signed up for a Happy Cow account just to leave this review. I got the (vegan) veggie wrap but on a (vegan) Cajun bagel - absolutely fantastic! It's a little spicy so beware if you don't like that. But it was the kind of meal you keep thinking about! Big chunks of carrots and cucumbers, delicious hummus, and rice on a bagel! I would have given it 5 stars but the app allows a maximum of 4 stars for a non-veg place. Also, they were playing romantic big band music when I was there and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Fyi, it's around the corner from the main part of the building and the parking on the square, so don't despair if you don't see it right away.

Pros: Cajun bagel!

Cons: Not exclusively veg
