A few vegan options

For the area (northern NH) this would be a decent spot to stop for a vegan lunch or dinner! The veggie hummus wrap was delish, we were hungry from a day in the mountains so I was grateful to find a place with good beer and a good vegan sandwich. The Thai peanut chili is labeled “vegetarian”, so I asked the waitress if she could ask about if it had any animal products in it, and when she returned from asking, she said it had honey in it (posting Aug 2023). Just wanted to make a note of that as the chili is mentioned in lots of comments! I was disappointed I didn’t get to try it, maybe they have changed the recipe recently. Overall, for the area, it was nice to have a vegan option, but could always use more!!

Pros: Vegan option, Helpful staff

Cons: Lacks options

Limited Vegan Options

I always go for the Thai Red Curry Wrap as it has been marked "vegan" on the menu for some time now. I think it is delicious! They also offer a Thai Peanut Chili which is marked "vegan" as well. Beer is delicious, and service is always great!

Pros: vegan items are marked on menu, beer, accomodating staff

Cons: limited vegan options

Limited vegan options

Moat Mountain has great beer, but vegans will find very little on their menu. The Thai peanut chili was a slightly spicy, hearty all-veggie chili that is vegan friendly. It's really quite good and was the highlight of my meal. The only other option on the menu is a veggie hummus wrap that was bland and underwhelming. There is also a Thai red curry and tofu wrap on the menu that sounded great, but the waitress let us know they recently changed the recipe, and it is now made with shrimp paste. It's frustrating that a dish which looks vegan, or at the very least vegetarian, includes animal ingredients. I'm sure lots of vegetarians order this thinking it's vegetarian because it's a tofu wrap, but it actually is not. The veggie burger is vegan, but none of the bun options are, so it could be ordered with no bun. Contrary to the below review, the tortillas are vegan. All beers are reportedly vegan minus the Square Tail Stout which uses gelatin within the brewing process. Our waitress was very helpful, informative, and accomodating. Unfortunately, there just are not enough enticing vegan options on the menu. I would not return here or recommend it to fellow vegans.

Pros: Great vegan chili, Good beers

Cons: Only two options on menu

Very good vegan options

Thai Peanut Chili was delicious!! I also got the hummus veggie wrap with yam fries which were also very good. They are clearly marked vegan on the menu. The other review is nonsense. Most flour tortillas are vegan, and the menu clearly indicates it is.

Great place for a bite after a day on the slopes.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan items, Delicious food

Food and fun atmosphere

I really enjoyed Moat Mountain. It's a place where you can go with meat-eating friends and still have several options for vegan food. I had the Thai Curry wrap and it was really delicious and a thankful departure from the standard vegan fare that non-vegan restaurants tend to serve (portabellas and veggie burgers). My meat-eating friend swore by their homemade veggie burger, though. I can't wait to try the Vegetarian Thai Peanut Chili. The beer is great, too and the atmosphere is very nice.

Pros: Choices, Atmosphere
