Both the cafe and the canteen have the best vegetarian food in Kiel! Lunch in the canteen is always 100% bio and available for a good price according to this.
The cafe offers a lot of vegan snacks and cake, on weekend some more breakfast options like pancakes, a little menu with cake and different kinds of bread or (my fav) a bowl with fruits, yoghurt and oats plus some superfoods. All of this optional vegan.
Also a great offer of drinks, different options for plantabased milk and smoothies.

Mmhio consists of both a café downstair and a self-service resturant upstairs.

In the café you can enjoy a sophisticated and friendly atmosphere at the same time. I have taken a vegan Matcha-latte and read during hours several times. It's very nice. They have at least one option of vegan sandwich and cake everyday, but normally you have more possibilities. Cakes are very good too!

At the restaurant, you can enjoy a simple meal with vegetables, pasta, rice, soups. It's not the best cuisine ever, but it's healthy, friendly and inexpensive.

Eery feel like you're missing the vibe of your old university canteen, but with a veg*n twist? Well, then the mmhio is the place for you.
A little hard to find (up the stairs past the entrance to an art shop) and not much choice (3 mains each day), but if you want something cheap and tasty, it does the job.
Decor is "shabby chic" chairs and tables, rather than typical canteen furniture which makes a nice change.
Food was nothing special, but filling, and very cheap.

This is the most sympathic canteen I know. They have always changeing vegetarian and vegan meals + a great saladbar. Also the furniture and atmosphere convinced me.

I recommend it for a real cheap, vegan and good lunch.
