Smaller than non-vegan version - Edit
I was really happy when I saw that they have vegan trdelník and on top of that filled with apple strudel. It was 200 CZK (8,22€) which is pricey but hey, I saw the fresh trdelník and thought that it's big enough. However, when I ordered the vegan one, they opened a box from under the counter and took out a way smaller trdelník that they filled with apple strudel, whipped cream and fresh apple slices. The lady who did it also wasn't really motivated or friendly. It seemed like she hated to be there 😅
Read moreThe trdelník was tasty but it wasn't hot/warm or slightly crunchy as I'm used to from the trdelník it my hometown so meh, the price isn't worth it unless you really wanna eat vegan trdelník and haven't had the opportunity yet.

Vegan Trdelník - Edit
I had a basic vegan Trdelník. It was alright. Nothing special, but I'm happy that I was able to try some of the local food.

Good option - Edit
A good option for coffee and vegan trdelník. It is the only one where they have it with vegan chocolate so that’s nice. And they had oat milk for coffee. But you have to pay cash (no cards) which they told after ordering an eating. And if you pay with euros you had to pay 20% extra. And it was already pretty expensive.

Vegan Baumstriezel was delicious - Edit
The basic trdelnik (Baumstriezel in german) was vegan and really delicious. In comparison to other shops in this city it was a little bit expensive.

Only one thing, but it’s gooood! - Edit
Staff confirmed that there’s not much vegan. So I ordered the donut thingy and asked them to put vegan chocolate, banana and strawberries inside, and it was very good! Do yourself a favour and get the same😄Coffee fairly decent too. They have oat milk - I didn’t ask about other alternative milks.

Not Vegan Friendly - Edit
Thought this place might work for lunch. The Trdelnik was marked vegan which was the only vegan item marked on the menu. When I asked about it, the staff told me it was not vegan despite being marked that way. They need a reprint of the menu.

Vegan trdelnik! - Edit
The only item marked as vegan on the menu is the trdelnik (traditional Czech chimney cake), which was exactly what I wanted! The chocolate and ice cream versions would not be suitable for vegans, but I had the cinnamon coating and my partner chose almonds. They were huge, warm and delicious! It was my first time trying trdelnik after living in the Czech Republic for a year, so I was very excited. This place is easy to find, on the road leading up to the castle. There is a place called MLS Trdelnik just nearby, but it doesn't have any vegan markings on the menu, so I would choose this branch, just to make sure.
