Nothing vegan - Edit
Went to 2 of their stores and no vegan options at all. In one of the stores staff had no clue if anything was vegan and in the other staff said they only have vegetarian stuff not vegan.

Hit & Miss with vegan options - Edit
We checked out 3 different Mlinar bakeries in Zadar (2 in Old Town & one small one across the main bridge to New Town) & most of the time they didn’t have any plant-based options - even early in the morning.
Read moreI got a sausage roll from the biggest one in the centre of Old Town which I really liked. Was like a hot dog sausage in pastry & had a really nice mild mustard type sauce (forgot to take a photo, sorry!) My friends got a raspberry croissant which they said was nice.
I wouldn’t rely on them for getting lunch but if you’re passing it’s worth popping in & seeing if they have anything.
Pros: Lovely sausage rolls & croissants
Cons: Often don’t have or run out of PB options

Vegan borek and Hot Dog - Edit
A really nice option when exploring the old part of town and you need some snacks. We had the Hot Dog and borek. Both tasted delicious.

Great vegan options - Edit
They have clearly labeled vegan options such as borek, vegan sausage pastry and a vegan sandwich. Everything is super delicious and prices are very fair. Highly recommended!

Amazing Burek! - Edit
Burek made of filo pastry with meaty filling was amazing! The best food we tried in Zagreb. Vegan Hrenovka (hot dog) was OK but it was nothing special. Unfortunately we did not try the third option which was vegan sandwich. Overall very good experience. You won’t find plant based options in each store.

New plant based options! - Edit
In cooperation with the Croatian brand Planet of Plants, they've just released a new range of plant based products. I tried the PB burek (my favourite) and the PB hot dog (good but a bit too realistic for me!). I'll return later to try the PB sandwich and update this review. My son is vegetarian and really enjoyed the cheese filo pastry 'burek' (similar to Bulgarian banitza).

Difficult to spot plant-based options - Edit
Sells a few pastries that are entirely plant-based (some may contain "traces of..."), but making out what's vegan in the first place isn't very intuitive. Your best bet might be checking their website using a translator app.

The staff isnt trained and says there are no vegan options - Edit
The staff of two locations of this chain said that they dont have vegan options
Read moreI even explained what vegan means (no butter, milk…)
But they kept saying they didnt have options
The website states that some things dont contain allergens such milk, butter, eggs so we could assume those were vegans but the list of ingredients is not available so i didnt want to risk buying something not vegan
