Always tasty! - Edit

Love all the offerings at Misters. Every bowl has a vegan option, and none have ever disappointed - I've tried many! Portions can lean on the small side, but you have more room for their selection of sweet treats.

Tasty brekkie ar lunch in the city - Edit

Many vegan options clearly labeled, savoury dishes plus sweet treats and smoothies. The food is tasty little bit expensive in my oponion but for location in the city centre is understandable. Tried the chocolate deserts as well and I could only taste coconut oil. Also strange thay use single use "plates" and cutlery even if you eat there.

Pros: tasty savoury dishes, vegan options clearly labeled

Cons: single use packaging for everything

Delicious Vegan Meals - Edit

The best cafe in Auckland for a healthy delicious breakfast or lunch. You can treat your Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free friends for lunch and there is plenty of choice for everyone! They do serve Meat dishes too, but it does mean you can go out with a group of friends with different dietary requirements with ease.

Mainly fresh and local organic food and as it is an eatery, everything is served in compostable takeaway containers which is also great if you want to take your lunch back to the office or home.

The food here is absolutely delicious and very addictive. The service is excellent with staff being very friendly and helpful. Other cafes won't be the same after you have tasted the food here. Excellent quality. Highly recommend!

Pros: Delicious tasting food, Friendly staff, Variety of food to suit everyone

Cons: Its not closer to where I live, Its not open on the weekends, Its not open for dinner

Cool place - Edit

This a lovely spot in Auckland CBD serving various delectable vegan options. There are seasonal changes with their menus, which is an absolute bonus as you won't get bored of the food! Great atmosphere, I love the green wall with the living plants. This is truly an excellent place to dine with (non-vegan) colleagues. I've had various work meet ups here for breakfast and lunch, and highly recommend this place to everyone.

In terms of their environmental efforts, I would prefer if they had reusable plates and cutlery as opposed to single-use biodegradable ones. It's good that they're at least trying to be eco-friendly, though I find it ironic that they haven't gone 100% plant-based in the interest of sustainability. After all, their vegan foods are delicious, so no one will be compromising on taste.

Pros: Cater well to vegans, Great atmosphere , Strategic location in AKL CBD

Cons: Not 100% plant-based, Non-reusable plates and cutlery , Portions can be a little small

Good food but packaging?? - Edit

I really enjoyed the food, had a savory vegan breakfast with falafel-kind of patties, nice fresh greens and a creamy dressing.
But I couldn't quite understand why all the plates, cups, and cutlery were single use. To their credit, it's not plastic but plant-based, and is supposed to go to compost. Fat-spoiled elements are normally not suitable for compost though, so I'm not sure how that works.

Pros: Good food, A lot of great vegan options

Cons: Single-use everything

An instant favourite - Edit

I've only been twice to Mister's but each time was with a group and everyone got outrageously good food there. Any main selection from the menu can be made vegan, many of the staff are vegan, and same with many of the desserts. But as importantly, they are absolutely masterful of the flavours and textures they want to produce - nailing all the right notes for a lunch that is healthy, nutritious, and absolutely delicious without being too intense.

Pros: Kitchen staff are fabulous, FOH staff friendly, Masters of their craft

Cons: Still serve meat

So Good! - Edit

We dined here just before Christmas. The location is ideal if you're staying in the city as it's just off Queen St. This is a very funky place with a wide variety of options for vegans whether you want something savoury for breakfast or lunch or something sweet, or even just a drink. I tried the chia bowl, the granola bowl, the nut butter smoothie, the Black Forest smoothie and I even had a hazelnut cacao. All of the food was delicious. My non vegan family even opted for some vegan options on the menu. They have fresh cakes and cookies to cater for all diets. The best part is the food is organic or locally grown so you know you're getting quality ingredients! The pricing is suitable I believe for the quality of ingredients and the serving size.

Fresh and healthy - Edit

I ordered the 'Turkish bowl' with zucchini fritters, it was layered with cauliflower tabbouleh on the bottom and eggplant hummus, then the fritters and on the top there was fresh greens and a tahini dressing, it was SO delicious!!! I also got a peppermint cup to take away which was also amazing. The cafe is nicely decorated with a good vibe. I'll definitely be back!

Pros: Delicious fresh food, Friendly staff, Nice atmosphere

This should have 5 stars. - Edit

If it wasn't for happy cow's rules, this review would have 5 stars (why exactly are we discouraging veg options being served alongside meat? This does nothing to support the cause, especially in this case where the meat is free farmed only)
Anyway, moving on to Misters!

I had the Greek bowl, which consisted of zucchini fritters, cauliflower rice and delicious cashew tzaziki.
My Omni boy had a Cajun chicken bowl. We both left raving about how delicious and fresh the meals were.
I also had a coffee with their own hazelnut milk, super yum, and a well made coffee too. I took home the vegan salted caramel and peanut butter cups.

I have zero complaints, the staff were charming, setting is relaxing, open and inviting. They left the pretension at the door, which is something we could learn from.

What's more it's a place you can go with just about anyone on any diet and have something delicious. I feel that food should be about uniting people not dividing them, I'm stoked to find a place like Misters. It's got w conscious, but it's not a dick about it.

Go for the food, keep going for the food, but also, go to support a really well executed idea of conscious eating.

Lots of vegan options - Edit

Different types of 'bowls' all with the options of having tofu rather than meat or fish. Really good options. Tasty food!! Maybe slightly small portions but great for a light lunch!

New Fave Cafe! - Edit

This place has a great atmosphere, uses compostable plates, bowls, cups and cutlery, and has vegan options for almost everything on their menu. They also have a range of milk options. Coffee is good, food is great (fresh, well presented, and very tasty) and they update their menu seasonally. There is a lovely 'living wall' at the end of the cafe which adds a nice touch. It has become my favourite cafe in the CBD.

Pros: Great food, Nice atmosphere and building, Excellent range of food and drinks

Go to lunch spot - Edit

Mister's has a small seasonal menu of which almost half the items are vegan and labelled as such (a big plus in my book because I get sick of asking questions). I'm making my way through the lunch menu and everything has been absolutely delicious - fresh, super tasty, and I leave feeling full but not bloated. I've had the Nori Balls with crispy tofu, the Tabbouli with zucchini fritters and Tacos with sweet potatoes. Hard to pick a favourite, I would choose all of them again. Also the cold pressed Orange & Apple juice is the best juice I've had in NZ.

Cool space, nice staff, fairly low-key but quite hip. Everything gluten-free and dairy-free. They make their own nut milks. All meals are served in containers that are biodegradeable - as is the cutlery.

Pros: Tasty food, Nice staff, Cool venue

Cons: Food takes a while to arrive

The Best Veg-friendly Yet! - Edit

This place is amazing. There is a vegan option for almost everything on the menu. The pancake option was vegetarian but they offered to do me a vegan one and explained it had egg white in it to make it "fluffy" in texture so a vegan version would be a little more dense. I ended up opting for the Ranchero Beans which were delicious and my vegetarian sister had the Egg Roll which she loved. 5 star service and beverages were delicious also (hot cacao with cashew milk, yum!) with no additional cost for nut milk in place of dairy.

Pros: No Extra Charge For Nut Milk, Many Veg Options, Dairy Free Kitchen
