We had lunch there on a Saturday with my parents. The people running the place were a friendly, smiley couple and the food was great. Good value, good portions and tasty. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere and there was a good selection of food. I had the carrot burger which came with a selection of salads. The dessert was good too.

There's an outside seating area too in summer (we didn't venture out as it was a bit chilly when we were there).

The only negative was the supply of the Daily Mail for customers; a vile publication that completely goes against the ethics of diversity. As Steven Fry puts it: "like anyone with education or sense or moral decency I wouldn’t have such a purulent creepy production in the house". Please get rid!

Visiting Eastbourne for a couple of weeks to see my mother and was in town and hungry. The Pathway Pantry strongly recommended that I try Miss Wall's Back Garden, so I hoofed it over there in the rain. Not disappointed. Lovely couple run the place, and she's a great cook. Delicious food, nice ambiance, comfortable. Eclectic crowd also looking satisfied and happy they chose to go there. Great service with a smile, and all at a very reasonable price. Nice selection of teas. I went away satiated and resolved to return. I definitely recommend this place, and genuinely hope Miss Wall's venture is successful and is around for years to come - Eastbourne really needs something like this!

Had to try out this new veggie place in Sussex. Today there was a choice of 4 mains, 2 of which were vegan - paella or baked sweet potato and bean chilli. The 3-4 side salads were all vegan and you could have a hot dish with all the sides as a platter for £7.50.
This was a generous, fresh-tasting Mediterranean-y platter and seemed pretty good value to me.
They also had soya or oat milk for drinks, but the dessert selection wasn't so good; no vegan cake! There were some energy balls and a flapjack with lots of seeds which was tasty, but nothing gooey, sugary or otherwise unhealthy for the vegans - something to improve!
The people were friendly and knew what was in everything without hesitation. The cafe has a nice relaxed feel and plenty of seating.
