Loved the coffee, great range of toasted sandwiches, they also do a nice soup of the day. Reasonably priced as well. Lots of sweet pastries! All vegan and a number of gluten free options.

Vegan Pastries - Edit
Plenty of vegan pastries that look absolutely beautiful and tasted good too! Mostly sweet with a few savoury options. There are gluten-free options supplied by Nutie. They have recently launched a weekend brunch menu as well. Do note that there were only outdoor seats which were subject to weather conditions - our food turned cold quite quickly during winter. I believe they have another branch in Marrickville!

Delicious sweet treats - Edit
Ordered a box of doughnuts and vanilla slice. I haven't had vanilla slice in a really long time. It was amazing, my partner who isn't vegan said it's better than most regular bakery ones. The doughnuts were also good. Really expensive is the only downside.

Incredible vegan cafe/bakery in the city. Pastries are absolute perfection!! So good, I can’t believe they are vegan. So amazing to find somewhere like this close to the CBD.

More organized, fewer options than Marrackville - Edit
They offer fewer savoury options than the Marrackville kitchen, but they seem more organized. Although you will get a few more savoury options at Marrackville, I'd recommend this venue if you're in the CBD area. Similar sweet options, from what I recall. The mushroom toastie tastes the best, but the German and the Parm taste great as well.

I made a point of coming here for breakfast after a good experience during the same holiday weekend last year. Plus it’s changed its name and gone completely vegan now, so kudos. In terms of savoury food there were only toasties available but this was perfect. We chose the German Cheese and the Mushroom Truffle. The cheese in both was thick and decadent, and gave the sandwiches a really nice melty texture. The mushroom sandwich was deliciously garlicky, while the cheese one had a fabulous krauty bite. The coffee I ordered was actually superior to one us ordered a a specialty coffee shop earlier. I haven’t even tried the pastries - the main act - but all in all a great little place with very good toasties.

The pain au chocolat was great, albeit a bit too fluffy and airy for my taste. I’m sure other pastries are good as well and I’d love to come back and try them.
Read moreWhat makes my rating only a 3/5 is the carrot lox bagel. The bagel itself was good, the cream cheese as well, however, the carrot lox was just not good at all. It was too acidic, the slices were too thick, the pickled onions made it worse and the caper relish was meh (to be fair, I’m neither a fan of capers nor relish, so the latter could really just be personal preference). Definitely don’t recommend that bagel, did also not look appetising at all…
Still, the staff was friendly and they do have a large selection of vegan pastries and baked goods that looked absolutely delish.

We went to the Surry Hills store this morning and OMFG the food!!! We had the pizza slice and the focaccia and to say I was in heaven would be an understatement. AND then a Neenish Tart!!! I couldn't just pick one sweets so we also got a New York Cheesecake, Salted Caramel Brownie, Chic Chunk Cookie and a Jam Doughnut! All Vegan All Delicious 😋

2022 their vegan options are still clearly marked and they have a lot! I had a Ferrero cake and a soy flat white. The cake was tasty and consistency was perfect. Also the coffee was tasty. I really liked it. I shared a smoothie with my partner and he loved the Rocky road. I took a s’mores cookie away with me. Really tasty
Read more2019I came here based on a recommendation. Their vegan options are clearly marked and make up the majority of the menu which is great. I ordered a coffee, a caramel milkshake and the vegan big breakfast. I thought the beans as part of the vegan breakfast were delicious. They were very tasty. The other items were fine and were as described. I could taste the coconut milk in the milkshake and I’d been wondering lately if I just didn’t notice non dairy milk any more but I did in this milkshake. The coffee was nice and the service friendly. I ordered a donut and a s’mores biscuit to take away. I have only had a couple of bites of the donut and I could be wrong but I felt the donut had a strong besan flour taste. I haven’t eaten the s’mores yet but I did have a taste and it taste delicious.

So many vegan doughnuts and cakes to choose from. Doughnuts are 6.50 each. I tried the Cookie Monster and the PB cookie and both were delicious. Life felt better after.
