Organic shop in the center of the city near nice garden with a small cafe by the window. Lots of seasonal fresh fruits and veggies, although having a butcher and processed imported stuff. Previously located at Rua Marques Sa da Bandeira 16-A, Mar 2016. Open Mon-Sat 9:00am-8:00pm.

Love this place! - Edit

Great assortment of organic produce in season at reasonable prices. They have a pretty broad variety of vegan/vegetarian and gluten free products. Bulk beans, seeds and nuts.
They do sell organic animal products.
The restaurant and cafeteria serve affordable vegan/vegetarian food.
I had a filling chickpea burger with fusilli and salad for 6€ and delicious apple and ginger juice 2,50€

Pros: variety of products, reasonable prices, free parking

Cons: I wish they had a bit more imagination in the rest

Friendly organic story - Edit

Miosotis has an excellent choice of bio/organic products.

While not vegetarian/vegan, they do offer a great variety of vegan items, fresh fruit and veggies and bulk nuts/cereals (bring your own bags to reduce waste :( )

The staff are very friendly and they also have a cafeteria serving vegan food sometimes (but you need to check in advance).

Superb fresh veggies market - Edit

The best place to buy fresh veggies and veg related stuff, specially on tuesdays. Has a great variety of brands and products.

Also has a good veg-friendly snack-bar inside with veg-options and fresh fruir juice.

Note that this is a organic market, not vegan or vegetarian, so be prepared to avoid the area that has meat, fish and dairy on display.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Variety of brands, Friendly staff

Cons: Has meat, fish and dairy on display, Gets crowded between 13h and 14h, Small place

Alright store - Edit

Came here looking for grab-and-go meals, which unfortunately they didn't have. But I did find some interesting looking hand pies and yaki onigiri (Japanese grilled rice balls). I got a miso-filled one, really good and fulfilling, although I doubt they made those (I later saw them at another store). Overall selection seemed pretty standard as far as health food stores go. They have a bulk section too. The fresh produce, however, all looked a bit tired. Check it out if you're in the area.

Pros: good selection, bulk available

Cons: tired produce

Down to earth but heavenly choice! - Edit

A bio supermarket with a cafe that serves organic plate of the day ( lunch only). Fresh juices great cakes and sandwiches. You can also buy your joghurt, snack or anything in the supermarket and eat it there. The supermarket is well stocked with vegetarian food, lots of soja and seitan products. Cerials, fruits and veg , dairy and soja joghurts...it amazing. You find wverything at really great fair prices. Also organic cosmetics, sun screens and up market brands like alva and ecocosmetics. The owners are a couple that is real bio and real kind. A must visit when in Lisbon and after healthy food and health care...

Pros: Choice, Price

Life's essentials - Edit

Great place to stock up on fruit, nuts, cereal, soy yogurt, you name it. Also carry a range of locally made vegan savory turnovers towards the front of the store--these are great to keep for snacks. I only ate in the small cafe once, and even though I "just" had a salad, it was one of the better salads I'd had in a very long time: greens, roasted nuts, quinoa--a delicious combination of flavors. Not all of the dishes offered in the cafe are vegan--make sure to ask.

Pros: All the basics and more, Small cafe with great food

Cons: Most convenient if you're staying nearby

Fresh find - Edit

Large organic supermarket selling lots of veg and vegan products but also meat. We got some soya deserts to eat on the hoof. They sell fresh, frozen, chilled and packaged products. Truly quite an impressive range of foodstuffs. Excellent selection of vegan desserts. There is also a small cafe at the front of the shop selling drinks, light meals and snacks which all appeared to be vegetarian but it's worth double checking before ordering of course. Definitely a good place to check out.

Pros: good range, vegan deserts

Cons: meat, pricey

Everything you need while in Lisbon - Edit

Yeah, as it says above they do have a butcher and it looks like vegan products are not quite as prioritised. However, if you are looking for organic fruit and veg, or just about anything else, this is the right place. They had rather unusual items such as a quinoa and rice-based drink that was both organic and fair trade. Moreover this shop is not particularly expensive, I had some seasonal produce such as strawberries and they were worth every cent.
