Too expensive for what you get

I was so disappointed, have heard so much about Minh Mat but the dishes were so small and the fried tofu balls tasted super weird. It was also a lot of cilantro on all dishes without being stated in the menu.

Fantastic place fantastic food

Best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. Their Banh Xeo is to die for. Usually on the lunch menu. Real good dinner food as well. Usually packed so can be hard to get a table.

Enjoyable food and drinks

This is a bit more expensive restaurang that i have wanted to try for a long time. For my experience it was a bit stressy as were fully booked when we arrived so we had to wait for our table for 15 minutes after we had our time booked. However, after receiving our table the experoence where great and you noticed all the small details in the furnishing of the restaurant.

I was pleasently suprised of the fun drinks that they had and for the food ordered Ca Tim Sot Chao(medium) and Cha Vien Chien Com(bigger) which both was amazing, but the medium was great. As we booked a table at 20.00 there was no one after and we could take our time. The staff was great and for finer dinning place, i really liked it.

Pros: Asian drinks, Good food, Nice staff

Cons: On the expensive side

Good, but more expensive and not as good as Bun Bo Hue

Went here for my birthday dinner with a couple of friends. I had never been there before and had decently high expectations due to the high rating here on Happy Cow.

Everything was great. I liked the atmosphere, that service and the food. When I asked which wines were vegan the waiter quickly checked and came back. My favorite dishes were the spring rolls and the fried tofu balls.

However, even though everything was great I have to say that the food at Bun Bo Hue tastes even better and costs half as much.

Amazing presentation and flavor

I went here for dinner while visiting Stockholm on my last day in Sweden. It was great to be able to eat a good meal here. The plates are small, but very satisfying in flavor and the presentation is beautiful. The wine was good too. Stockholm seems to have some great vegan options, as well as Sweden as a country. I was able to eat pretty well here despite having to cook meals at home. I would definitely recommend.

Pros: presentation, flavor and creativity of dishes

Cons: price is a bit high

Ridiculous prices for the amount of food. Don’t go there hungry, you will leave poor(er). Arty farty and a feeling that it has a big city complex. Definitely prefer vegan options at a average Vietnamese restaurant. Nice flavours tho

Delicious Vietnamese Food!

LOVE this place! Amazing selection of dishes, many are vegan. We had the five mushroom dish, papaya salad and deep fried tofu balls. SO good. Great flavours, textures, presentation. Really fresh and inventive dishes, meant for sharing.

Make sure to make a reservation, it's very popular.

I will come back next time I'm in Stockholm.

Worth 5 stars!!!!

Amazing food! Silly I can’t give 5 stars since Minh is worth it. Don’t hesitate to book a table, the restaurant is often full. I had an assortment of vegan dishes including daikon dumplings with sweet potato and fermented tofu, green papaya salad, autumn rolls (fresh rice paper rolls) and fried spring rolls and five mushrooms (King oyster, shimeji, enoki, forest ear mushroom served with stick rice). Everything was divine!

I have been here a couple of times during lunch time. There’s always one vegan option, packed with amazing flavors. Although it’s a bit expensive, I’ll definitely be coming back. Staff is also super friendly. If you’re looking for Vietnamese food in STHLM, this is the place to go!

Interesting but expensive

We liked the concept of the restaurant and had high expectations. The service was friendly, the food however was a bit bland. There were interesting ingredients and textures but the flavours weren't anything special. We liked the atmosphere of the place a lot.

Pros: Friendly service, Nice environment

Cons: Expensive, Small portions

Went here for dinner. Great Vietnamese food. Very creative dishes with lots of textures and flavours. They use 'unusual' ingredients such as fish mint! Really nice to see that they also encourage non-vegans to try the vegan dishes on the menu and that they don't have a separate vegan menu. The staff is really friendly and helpful - they take the time to explain more about the dishes you have in front of you and they instruct you how to best enjoy the dishes.

Pros: Creative vegan dishes, Friendly and helpful staff

Cons: Quite expensive

Delicious vegan options and impeccable service!

Would have given 5 stars, if it was possible for a non-vegan place here on happy cow. The owner is a lovely lady from Dalat in Vietnam and she knows how to cook! Super sweet and attentive waiting staff. We had a wonderful evening :)

Pros: Vegan options, Service, Interior Design + outside seating area

Cons: None

Fuimos a comer menú, y habia una opcion vegana de los tres platos que ofertaban. Comí unos rollitos rellenos de verduras, tofu y fideos envueltos en papel de arroz y con una salsa buenisima! // We ate lunch so there was one vegan option out of three dishes they had in the menu. I ate rolls filled with veggies, tofu and rice noddles wrapped with rice paper and with an amazing sauce!

A culinary voyage!

Finally got round to trying Minh Mat which has received rave reviews since opening in May 2015.

It's advisable to book in advance as the restaurant is small and very popular. The interior is beautifully designed and has a cosy and familiar atmosphere. Service is welcoming, attentive and friendly.

Now to the food. My friends and I all had vegan dishes. I had deep-fried tofu balls served with rice noodles which was excellent. The flavours were well-balanced and unique. There is a lot of thought and love put into the making of these dishes. It truly is a culinary experience and the ingredients are of top quality.

Plus points for including the vegan dishes with the meat ones which is their way of encouraging people to try vegan.

I'm looking forward to trying more dishes from both the lunch and a la carte menu. The praise is rightfully deserved!

Pros: Excellent, top quality Vietnamese food , Several vegan dishes, Beautiful interior and good service

Cons: On the small side, booking in advance is advised

Vegan starter, main and dessert options. Would recommend the autumn rolls and jackfruit bún. Cutest little restaurant. We were lucky we got a table, would suggest booking ahead if possible.

The best viet vegan food I've had

I loved it. I ate there for lunch, so I only had one option, but it was a delicious noodle dish with tofu and a bunch of veggies. They really do pack in the flavour, and you can tell that the food is made with Love. Would Love to eat there for dinner, to try the rest of Their menu.

Pros: good quality food, filling & interesting

Cons: small & crowded sometimes, a little bit pricey

Brillant flavours

The options are many and I had tried the more spicy dishes here. It's as close to the real asian flavours you get in Stockholm. It's not adopted to please the Swedish crowd, with less taste. Genuine Vietnamese kitchen.

Interior is interesting, half of the restaurant in "French Indochine "colonial style and one with Ho Chi Minh portraits.

Pros: Tasty food

Cons: Rather expensive

Great food

This place really packs in the flavors and has a lot of love in their food. A cozy atmosphere, lots of people and very good looking decorations makes it a place you must try for lunch. There is one vegan option available at lunch every day and the price is very average for Stockholm. I have eaten here twice and was never disappointed.
There is places to sit outside when the weather is nice but there were too many people when I was there. We had to wait a couple of minutes before we could sit down, but this didn't feel like a problem.

Pros: LOTS of flavor, Pretty place

Cons: Small/crowded
