Wow! Great Burmese

My first experience with Burmese and I loved it! The tea leaf salad was out of this world!! Will definitely be back. Plenty of vegan options.

Good options and very tasty!

Popped in for lunch and had the Walnut Broccoli with Tofu with brown rice as a side. Service was quick and food tasted delicious.

Lots of vegan options but you need to ask

Things aren’t labeled vegan but they told us the vegetarian section was all vegan. The items we did get (avo spring rolls and spicy tofu asparagus) were good.

Amazing flavors

Fantastic, fresh dishes that pop with flavors. I make a point of visiting whenever I’m in the Bay area. Lots of vegan options. I love spicy and they definitely deliver! They have milder options as well. My favorite is the Samusa Soup, which is a huge portion, big enough to share. Burmese cuisine is a cross of Indian, Thai, and Chinese, so if you like those flavors, you’ll like this place. I would give them five stars but HC won’t let me since it’s not a vegetarian restaurant.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Spicy , Fresh ingredients

Cons: A little pricey, but worth it

Great food - but order take away

The food deserves 5 stars, but the service brings it down to 4. The food is bursting with flavor! And they have so many vegan options. I had the pumpkin curry tofu with coconut rice. Delish!

But the service is lacking. The staff is pleasant enough. But they haven't set up the restaurant to welcome patrons. There's a sign in kiosk just inside the door. But as people wait to be seated, the food runners yell at people to get out of the way and wait outside. I got up to use the restroom which was near the kitchen, but it was being used and I was asked to wait back near the tables. The staff gives you the feeling that customers are in the way and have forgotten we are the reason they come to work each day. I would eat there again, but I'd opt for take away.

Very good Burmese food.

Good food with several veg options, plus the staff know what is vegetarian/vegan.

Try the tofu kebat, highly recommended!

Pros: Good amount of veg options. , Staff know what's in the food

go-to dinner spot

Staff understand vegetarianism/veganism, are sure to confirm that items are veg when bringing food to the table. There can be a moderate wait for tables, but when you taste the food you’ll see why. My personal favorites are the tea leaf salad (no shrimp), house special noodles (with tofu), and green beans with tofu.
